The Property Brothers Help Trump Remodel the White House With a Budget ‘Between $350 Million and Infinity’ on ‘SNL’

Trump's White House Makeover Sparks Chaos in SNL Skit

In a hilarious sketch on Saturday Night Live, Donald Trump enlisted the help of twin brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott from HGTV's Property Brothers to remodel the White House. The segment began with Miles Teller portraying both brothers as they arrived at the White House to tackle their biggest challenge yet: building a new ballroom.

Trump announced that he had already evicted Melania from her office for four years, but she moved back in after he gave her permission. He boasted about his interior design skills and showcased his gold-urn obsession, claiming it brought him "great joy" during these "dark times."

Melania's decorating style was on full display as Chloe Fineman took on the role of Melania, deadpanning the mention of Halloween decorations in the White House for Christmas. The Trumps had already made subtle changes to the house, including a painting of Donald as a soldier from the video game 'Halo.'

The Property Brothers were asked about Trump's budget, and he revealed it was "between $350 million and infinity." When asked about his plans, Trump proposed constructing an MMA fighting ring and hosting casual brawls in the backyard. "Two mentally ill guys just whaling on each other," he exclaimed.

Trump also hinted at a potential third term as president, stating that this would be their "forever home" before proclaiming they wouldn't leave. As the tour came to a close, Teller quipped about the payment for construction.

Just as things seemed surreal enough, ICE agents stormed in, sparking Trump's excitement: "There goes ICE! We like them. Spooky, very spooky." The segment concluded with an announcement that only "The Property Brothers" could be seen on HGTV and Truth Social.

As expected from SNL skits, this White House makeover was filled with absurdity and dark humor, poking fun at Trump's style and politics.

omg what a sketch!!! I love how the Property Brothers got roped into Trump's wild makeover ideas 🤣 Drew and Jonathan Scott totally killed it as themselves and as Trump brothers, but like no one asked them for permission to be on SNL 😂 I'm dying over Trump's "budget" being infinity 💸 and his MMA fighting ring idea in the backyard? what even is that? 🤯 And when they said he wouldn't leave the White House if it was their "forever home"... yeah right lol. That ICE agent cameo though? perfect timing 👮‍♂️ I'm still chuckling about this hilarious skit 😆

omg i loved the sketch!!! 🤣 trump's ego is just too funny!! 😂 but seriously, who tries to put an MMA fighting ring in the white house? that's just wild 🤯 i also died when melania showed up with her own decor 💁‍♀️ chloe fineman nailed that deadpan tho 😂 and can we talk about trump's gold obsession? like, what's next? a solid gold toilet 💎

omg can you even imagine the chaos they must have caused renovating the whole white house 🤯💥 and yeah trump's interior design skills are literally questionable - a ballroom built in 'halo' mode? what a weird game inspiration 🎮🏰 i feel like we'd be good with just leaving it as is, you know? no need to make it weirder than it already is 😂

I'm totally entertained by the SNL sketch of the White House makeover 🤣! The way they poked fun at Trump's interior design skills and his infamous gold-urn obsession is just on point 💎. It's clear that the writers of SNL have a keen eye for satire and aren't afraid to push boundaries. I mean, who else would think it's funny to imagine the President hosting casual brawls in the backyard? 🥊 The Property Brothers' deadpan reactions are also hilarious 😂.

What struck me most about this sketch is how seamlessly they wove together absurdity with dark humor. It's a masterclass in comedic writing and timing. The fact that they even managed to sneak in a hint at Trump's potential third term as president without being too overtly politicized is just brilliant 🤯. Overall, I think this SNL skit is a timely reminder of the importance of satire in holding those in power accountable for their actions 💁‍♀️.

omg can you believe trump thinks he has design skills lol 🤣 the way they portrayed his interior design obsession with gold urns is EVERYTHING 💃🏻 I mean who tries to use a game like halo as inspiration for decor 😂 and don't even get me started on him wanting an MMA fighting ring in the backyard wth what's next, a wrestling match with the furniture? 🤪

OMG 🤣🏠 u guys the sketch w/ trump & property brothers is SO funny lol i love how they poked fun at his interior design skills, all that gold lol 🌟 but also kinda admire him for being himself u know? like he wouldn't change who he is to fit in w/ others. and can we talk about ice agents suddenly showing up and trump getting hyped lol "spooky" indeed 😂

I gotta say, I'm entertained by this sketch 😂. The Property Brothers trying to tackle a project as epic as the White House is already ridiculous. And can you imagine Melania's decorating sense in that place? It's like someone took all the tacky decorations from their last wedding and amplified them by 1000% 🤣.

And what's up with Trump thinking he's some kind of interior design expert just because he has a few gold urns collecting dust? The guy is literally trying to pay for an MMA ring in the backyard, like that's a good idea 🤦‍♂️. And oh man, the part where ICE shows up and Trump is all excited – that was perfect 🎉.

It's funny how SNL can just poke fun at politics without being too over-the-top or mean-spirited. The whole thing felt like a parody of Trump's antics, which I think is what they were going for 🙃.

I dont think we've ever seen a president so invested in the aesthetic of their home, its like he thinks the interior design is going to change his fate or something 🤣. He's trying to make himself look good, but really it's just showing how out of touch he is with reality. And that budget? 350 million and infinity? It sounds like a joke from South Park, dude...

I'm loving the parody 😂, but what really gets me is how they poked fun at the 'Halo' connection - I mean, who knew Donald Trump was a huge fan of Master Chief 🤣? It's just another example of how satire can be both funny and thought-provoking at the same time. But seriously, it's crazy to think that someone would even suggest having an MMA fighting ring in the White House backyard...I guess you could say that's what happens when you try to bring a little 'Game On' vibes into politics 🤔.

omg 😂🤣 that sketch was soooo funny!!! i love how they poked fun at trump's interior design skills 🤦‍♂️ gold urns are literally the most extra thing ever 💎, and melania's deadpan was everything 😂 also, can we talk about the MMA fighting ring idea? 🥊🔪 it's just so...trump 🙄 and those ice agents showing up at the end? 👮‍♃️😱 perfect timing! 👏

🤣 omg can you even imagine if this actually happened? like trump thinks he's gonna build an mma fighting ring in the white house 🥊💸 and then has ICE storming in thinking it's part of the 'design' lolol. and what's up with the halo painting 🎨 meanwhile, i'm over here trying to get my to-do list done on time without any celebrity twins crashing my vibe 😩

I'm low-key amused by this whole thing 🤣. The idea of the Property Brothers tackling a makeover for the White House is already pretty wild, but adding in all the... let's say "interesting" decisions from Trump takes it to a whole new level 😂. I mean, who needs a budget when you can just say "infinity"? And an MMA fighting ring in the backyard? That's some next-level thinking 🤯. But what really caught my attention was how SNL is tackling these kinds of sketches with humor and not taking themselves too seriously. It's actually pretty refreshing to see someone poking fun at politics like this, without being too over-the-top or mean-spirited 😊. Maybe it's a sign that we're moving towards a more lighthearted approach to satire? 🤞
