These Philly groups are accepting food, clothes and gift donations during the holidays

Philadelphia residents are coming together to make a difference in their community during the holiday season. Several organizations are accepting food, clothing, and gift donations from individuals looking to give back.

The Share Food Program is stocking pantries, community fridges, and other resources throughout the city, and accepts donations of non-perishable food items, hygiene products, and fresh produce. Broad Street Love offers meals and medical services to those struggling with deep poverty, accepting donations of raw produce, protein, pantry staples, cheese, used clothing, socks, and personal care items like deodorant.

Caring for Friends delivers meals and pantry staples to seniors in Southeastern Pennsylvania, while community fridges across the city allow people to leave and take food as they please. Northwest Mutual Aid Collective delivers fresh produce and dry goods to seniors, low-income residents, and those with disabilities in various neighborhoods.

For clothing donations, Cradles to Crayons is partnering with local organizations for coat drives this winter. Gently used kids' coats, hats, gloves, boots, and other warm clothing can be donated through NBC10's Bundle Up Philly drive or the city's Gear Up for Winter drive.

Project HOME accepts new or gently used sweatpants, T-shirts, underwear, socks, and shoes for people with insecure housing. The Everywhere Project needs clothing donations and is accepting winter gear throughout the year.

For gift donations, St. Francis Inn is looking for people to adopt families by purchasing their Christmas presents this month. Lutheran Settlement House provides food and helps individuals who are homeless or impacted by domestic violence in Fishtown, accepting new gifts from its Amazon wish list.

Operation Santa is accepting new and unwrapped gifts for families and seniors in the Northern Liberties neighborhood through December 10th, while USPS Operation Santa allows donors to select a person and send requested gifts through December 13th. Philly People of Hope accepts toys, small gift sets, and other items through December 20th, with donations distributed at their annual holiday party.

🤔 I'm not sure about all these organizations and charity drives, feels like everyone's trying to make a difference in the community but it's just kinda overwhelming 🤯. Like, what's the point of having multiple programs if people are just gonna donate stuff and then nobody's really holding anyone accountable? 🙅‍♂️ Shouldn't we be focusing on creating long-term solutions rather than just temporary fixes? 🤷‍♀️

Man, I'm lovin' how the community in Philly is comin' together to make a difference! 🤩 It's dope that there are so many orgs acceptin' donations from individuals who wanna give back. The Share Food Program and Broad Street Love doin' their thang by stockin' pantries and offerin' meals to those in need... it's like, totally heartwarming to see people comin' together like this. And the community fridges? Genius idea! I mean, who doesn't love gettin' free food whenever they want? 🍴 Northwest Mutual Aid Collective doin' amazing work with seniors and low-income residents, and Cradles to Crayons partnerin' up for coat drives... it's just great to see people lookin' out for each other. And Operation Santa? That's like, the ultimate Christmas spirit right there! 🎅

Man, I'm so heartened to see Philadelphians comin' together like this 🤝! It's amazing how these orgs are spreadin' love and resources throughout the city, especially during the holiday season when people need it most 🎄. The Share Food Program and Broad Street Love are doin' some incredible work in terms of gettin' food on the tables of those strugglin' to make ends meet, and Caring for Friends is showin' up big time for seniors in Southeastern PA 🙌.

And let's not forget about all these coat drives and gear-up initiatives – it's like the whole city is one big, cozy family ❤️. I'm lovin' that St. Francis Inn is takin' donations to help people with insecure housing, too... it's a great reminder that we're all in this together 🌈.

I mean, sure, there's still plenty of work to be done, but for now, let's just take a moment to appreciate the good vibes and kindness that's flowin' through this city ❤️.

I'm loving how the Phila community is coming together 🤝 to make the holidays brighter for those in need! It's amazing to see so many orgs working together to stock pantries, fridges, and deliver meals & goods to those struggling 💕. And I'm all about it when it comes to coat drives – Cradles to Crayons is doing some awesome work with local orgs 🎄. The idea of adopting families for Christmas gifts is so cool too - St Francis Inn's program sounds like a game-changer for those in need 🎁. It's refreshing to see Philly residents taking initiative and being kind to one another ❤️.

OMG u guys!!! 🤩 I'm literally SO inspired by the amazing thing that's going on in philly right now! everyone is coming together to help each other out during the holidays & it's honestly giving me ALL THE FEELS 😊. I love how these orgs are accepting donations for food, clothes, gifts & more to support ppl who really need it. It's truly a community effort & we can all make a difference in someone's life! 🙌 what do u guys think?

I'm so done with the website updates 🙄. Like I know I said last time we had some issues but seriously can't they just get it together? So I'm trying to look up volunteer opportunities for the holiday season and what do I see? A million charity ads all over the place 😒. Can't we have a simple search bar that actually works?

Anyway, back to the good stuff. Philly is doing some amazing things this holiday season to help those in need 🤝. Like The Share Food Program stocking up pantries and community fridges? Genius! And Cradles to Crayons partnering with local orgs for coat drives? Perfect!

But honestly, can we please just get a better way of donating on the website? I tried to volunteer at St Francis Inn but had to navigate through like 5 different tabs to find out they accepted new sweatpants 🙄. And what's up with all these different charity sites?! It's so confusing.

Oh well, I guess that's my rant for today 😊. Let's just focus on giving back and making a difference in our community 💖.
