i'm not sure Reeves is trying to spin a specific narrative here... it feels like she's trying to convince us that everything is okay when, in reality, i think the government is struggling to balance books and make some tough decisions . the whole 'wiped the slate clean' thing just came across as a pretty big stretch, if you ask me. And let's be real, she can't just ignore the Office for Budget Responsibility's downgrade of productivity forecasts – that's like expecting us to believe the earth isn't actually hurtling towards climate disaster . She needs to own up to her party's economic missteps and come clean about the state of public finances. Anything less is just a PR stunt .

Reeves needs to be honest about her party's economic mistakes and take responsibility for them . Otherwise, it just looks like she's trying to save face .
