I mean, who doesn't love a good earth-invasion story? The idea that our obsession with oil is driving us into this epic conflict is so relevant today and it's awesome to see the show tackling such important themes. I've been watching doctor who since i was like 10 and i never thought id see them do something like this, but russell t davies always knows how to surprise me! Barclay sounds like a lovable main character, i'm down for that awkward admin guy getting swept up in an intergalactic adventure 
I love how they're tackling environmentalism and global conflict, it's about time we saw a show that actually makes you think about the world we're living in
