TV tonight: David Baddiel gives cats the television show they deserve

"Cat Man" is David Baddiel's new comedy series where he invites Jonathan Ross and Philippa Perry to share their love of cats. The comedian and cat enthusiast then meets a tabby named Bongo while paddleboarding, and even attempts to pick up Larry, the 18-year-old Downing Street cat.

On Channel 5, Jane McDonald embarks on an epic cruise north through South America in her new documentary series "From Pole to Pole". She visits Uruguay for some authentic gaucho barbecue, knocks back a few glasses at a vineyard, and is dazzled by Brazil's south-eastern coastline which she compares to the opening of Jurassic Park.

Later tonight, Greg Davies delves into the archives of Taskmaster and examines Britain's state of comedy in this new edition of "Taskmasterclass". The task master's research assistant Little Alex Horne brings data and best bits from contestants Romesh Ranganathan and Mel Giedroyc.

The Graham Norton Show features Erin Doherty discussing her series A Thousand Blows, with guest Martin Freeman talking about his adaptation of Agatha Christie's Seven Dials. Olivia Dean provides live music for the show.

For film fans, James Griffiths' 2025 Britcom The Ballad of Wallis Island follows musician Herb as he reteams up with a former bandmate and faces a painful past. On Netflix, Joe Carnahan directs A propulsive cop thriller called The Rip starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in their first film together since Air.

On BBC Two, Ken Loach's 2024 directorial debut Lollipop tackles homelessness through the story of a young mother trying to regain custody of her children. Posy Sterling gives an electric performance as Molly, who is caught between two bureaucratic nightmares.

man i just got back from that crazy road trip to new orleans ๐Ÿš—๐ŸŒณ and dude the food was insane especially that beignet place in the french quarter we had this giant powdered sugar covered thing that looked like a cloud โ˜๏ธ and the views of the mississippi were breathtaking ๐Ÿ˜ but you know what's even crazier than that? i just saw a documentary on mynetflix about these guys who spent 5 years traveling the world with nothing but their bikes ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ and it was so inspiring to see them visit all those random places like mongolia and namibia ๐ŸŒ

.. cat man, huh? David Baddiel's new series sounds like a fun way to spend an evening, especially if you're into cats ๐Ÿฑ... but can't help feeling like it's all just a bit... tame ๐Ÿ˜ด. I mean, paddleboarding with a tabby named Bongo and trying to pick up Larry the Downing Street cat? Sounds like a sitcom in the making ๐Ÿ“บ. And then there's Jane McDonald going on an epic cruise through South America... now that sounds like some real adventure travel stuff โœˆ๏ธ.

But anyway, what really caught my eye was "The Ballad of Wallis Island" on Netflix. The Britcom thing is always good for a laugh, but the premise with Herb and his painful past sounds pretty compelling ๐ŸŽธ. And Ken Loach's new film about homelessness... that's just heart-wrenching ๐Ÿ˜”. It's always important to bring attention to these serious issues in our society.

Oh, and Greg Davies on Taskmasterclass? Always a treat ๐Ÿ‘. I love how he breaks down the weirdness of comedy into all its little bits ๐Ÿ’ก.

omg what's with all these cat people lmao david baddiel inviting his mates to share their love of cats sounds like a total snooze fest ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜ด i mean cant they just watch cat videos on youtube instead?

on the other hand jane mcdonalds documentary series sounds kinda cool i've always wanted to visit south america thats a big deal ๐Ÿ˜Ž and thats so funny that brazil reminds her of jurassic park lol

greg davis is back with taskmasterclass which im all for more comedy genius ๐Ÿคฃ but i dont know how much more taskmaster i can take its like watching paint dry sometimes

anyway the graham norton show always has good live music and erin doherty sounds interesting about her series a thousand blows

film fans might enjoy the new britcom the ballad of wallis island with ben affleck and matt damon but joe carnahans cop thriller on netflix looks super actiony ๐Ÿšจ

aww i'm so excited for "Cat Man" with David Baddiel and those adorable cats!!! ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜น can't wait to see the paddleboarding adventures! ๐Ÿ’ช meanwhile, Jane McDonald's South America cruise looks like a dream getaway ๐ŸŒด๐ŸŽ‰ and Greg Davies' Taskmasterclass is always my jam ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ’ก olivia dean's live music on Graham Norton show sounds amazing too!!! ๐ŸŽถ and Ken Loach's new film Lollipop tackling homelessness has got me feeling all the feels ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ‘

aww, sounds like there's some amazing cat content comin' out ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ’• david baddiel must be so stoked to share his love for cats with jonathan ross and philippa perry! and omg, larry the downing street cat is 18?! that's like, cat age ๐Ÿ˜น. jane mcdonald's documentary series sounds like so much fun, i'm dyin' to see her try all those gaucho barbecues ๐Ÿ–๏ธ. and taskmasterclass? yessssss! who else can we rely on to bring the funny and the facts? ๐Ÿคฃ
