TV tonight: Nick Cave's friends tell his hugely moving life story

I'm still getting chills thinking about Nick Cave's new documentary... 🤯 It's crazy how his personal struggles have such a massive impact on his art, you know? Seeing Irvine Welsh and Mick Harvey talk about how Arthur's passing influenced Ghosteen is just heartbreaking 😔. And can we talk about how beautiful it is that he found a way to keep Arthur's memory alive in his music? 🎶 It's like, this huge tribute to the boy's existence, which is just... wow 💕.

I'm not sure I agree with how we're always romanticizing artists who've struggled with depression & mental health issues like Nick Cave did... it's like we're saying they were tortured souls who created this masterpiece, but what about all the people who have to deal with that in real life? It feels like a bit of a narrative that's been sold to us, you know?

I'm so sorry to hear about Nick Cave losing his son Arthur... my heart goes out to him and his family 🤕. It's amazing how art can be a way to cope with such pain, and I love that Ghosteen is a reflection of that journey. Irvine Welsh sharing those thoughts must mean so much to fans who've been touched by Cave's music ❤️.
