UK and Europe's hidden landfills at risk of leaking toxic waste into water supplies

This is wild 🤯 I'm literally talking 61k+ landfills in Europe just chillin' in floodplains, waiting for toxic waste to leak into our water supplies 💧... meanwhile, scientists are like "um, yeah, this is gonna be bad for ppl's health" 😬. It's crazy how some of these landfills predate pollution control regulations - that's just basic common sense 🙄. And those "forever chemicals"? Forget about it, Pfas in a river near a protected conservation area? That's straight-up toxic 🌿. The EU needs to step up its game and provide funding for remedial actions ASAP 💸... this is like, literally the tip of the iceberg 🤯.
