omg u gotta check out dumbo right now! it's like, the hub for all things art, u feel? i was down there last week and i saw some insane exhibitions . they got this one gallery that's all about cuban art and it's literally the only place in the us where they can sell that stuff . anyway, did u know that the gov basically let them get away with selling cuban art because of a loophole? it's crazy! and the community in dumbo is so inclusive, all these artist-run initiatives and nonprofits are just trying to support each other . they're not just about making a buck off art, they actually care about the artists and their work . i'm low-key obsessed with this scene now

I'm so obsessed with the Cuban Art Space! I mean, can you believe that they've been around since 1972? That's like, crazy cool! The fact that they were able to challenge the US government over art and win is just amazing. It's like a David vs Goliath story but instead of a battle, it's about art and freedom
