Video 'Slender Man' attacker told officers to Google her name, police say

Morgan Geyser's Disturbing Response to Arrest: 'Just Google Me'

A chilling exchange between an Illinois police officer and the alleged attacker in the 'Slender Man' stabbing case has come to light. When asked for her identity, Morgan Geyser allegedly told officers to "just Google" her name during her arrest on Sunday.

According to reports, the 17-year-old suspect's response was met with confusion from law enforcement officials who had expected a more conventional answer. The incident has sparked questions about the potential motives behind Geyser's actions and whether she may have been seeking notoriety or attention through this unusual method of self-identification.

Geyser is accused of stabbing her 16-year-old friend, Anissa Weier, in an attempt to appease the fictional character 'Slender Man,' whom the pair had become obsessed with. The attack on Weier left her with serious injuries and is still recovering from her ordeal.

The arrest highlights concerns about the potential influence of social media and online culture on young people's perceptions of reality. As authorities continue to investigate the motives behind Geyser's actions, it remains to be seen whether this unusual response will provide any new insights into the case.

Ugh I'm still trying to wrap my head around this 😕 Morgan Geyser's arrest is so disturbing but like what was she thinking? Asking for her ID to Google herself? 🤯 It just feels so... lazy and attention-seeking, you know? 🙄 And the fact that she did it all in an attempt to appease this fictional character is just wild. I mean, I get it's a creepy fandom and all but stabbing someone over it? No thanks 🚫. The way law enforcement reacted was super confusing too - like, wouldn't they have looked her up on Google anyway? 😂 Anyway, this whole thing just feels like a messed up case that needs to be thoroughly investigated.

omg what is wrong with some ppl 🤯 like what kind of twisted game is she playing by not even giving a straight answer lol but at the same time can we blame her like I know google can be super sketchy sometimes and its easy to get lost in the wild west of info out there 😂 i mean i've heard stories about people using their online presence to like manipulate ppl or get attention and stuff so idk what's going on with this girl but im def curious 🤔 and seriously though like how messed up is it that she thought stabbing her friend was a good way to play along with some fictional character lol we should be worried about the state of our youth and their online influences 🚨

this is wild 🤯 the slender man stabbing case was already super creepy but now i'm shook that this girl was trying to appease a fictional character and her friend got seriously hurt 🤕 did you guys know that 'slender man' has been a thing since 2009? 📊 it's crazy how something created by internet users can have such a strong influence on some people's minds 🤯 stats show that 70% of american teens have played with online fictional characters like slender man at least once, and 45% of them say they've felt scared or uneasy while playing 🚨 social media's role in this case is definitely something to look into, btw...

I was just watching a documentary about beekeeping and how some people use drones to monitor their hives 🐝📺. It got me thinking about how we're always relying on technology to solve problems, like online research for something as simple as who someone is 🤔. Like what's the harm in just Googling their name instead of telling you? Is it that hard to make up a story?

OMG you guys! I'm like totally shocked by Morgan Geyser's response to her arrest 🤯. Like, who does that?! She just gives them a generic answer and tells them to Google her name? It's like, hello officer, we're in the middle of a serious investigation here 😂.

I think this is actually super revealing about her motivations though. I mean, if she's not even trying to hide who she is or what she did, that says a lot about how much she wanted attention and sympathy online 🤷‍♀️. It's like, she knew that Google search results would be all over the internet, so she just played the victim card.

And can we talk about how messed up this whole situation is? I mean, stabbing someone to appease an online character? That's some crazy stuff 💀. Social media and online culture have got to take some blame for this 🤦‍♀️. We need to be more aware of how our kids are consuming information and the influencers they're following 👀.

Anyway, just my two cents on this wild case 💁‍♀️.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around what Morgan Geyser did 😲. I mean, who tries to stab their friend because of some made-up character from a creepypasta website? It's like, hello, reality is real, not some sick game you're playing in your head 🤯. And now she's trying to outsmart the cops by telling them to Google her name... what's next? Trying to hide behind anonymity online? I'm just so baffled by this whole thing 😕. It's a wake-up call for parents, teachers, and anyone who's working with young people - we need to be talking about the dangers of social media obsession and the blurring of reality 📺.
