what really gets me though is how inclusive it is - everyone from all walks of life come together to celebrate their love for j-pop culture

i mean, 20 years of the con is a big deal and it's always more fun than last year (for me, at least lol) anyway, can't wait to see what creative costumes people come up with this year! 
Youmacon and Halloween Bar Crawl are both happening at the same time as Insane Clown Posse's show... what if it's all connected? Like, what if the creators of these events are trying to distract us from something else? I mean, think about it. The cosplay at Youmacon is getting more and more elaborate every year, but have you noticed how many cosplayers are also attending other events on this list? It's like they're all in on some secret plan 
And what about the DJ night at Northern Lights Lounge? Marcellus Pittman is a big deal in Detroit's music scene, but I bet he's not as popular outside of Michigan... or is he?
