Why Disney insiders are loving the drama playing out in Netflix-Paramount battle for Warner Bros.

Disney insiders are enjoying a spectacle reminiscent of schadenfreude as Netflix and Paramount vie for control of Warner Bros. The Disney executive's candid assessment that "I just don’t get it" highlights the skepticism surrounding Netflix's interest in acquiring the struggling studio.

For a company like Netflix, which has already taken on significant debt with its acquisition of 21st Century Fox's entertainment assets six years ago, adding Warner Bros.' vast library and production capabilities may seem counterintuitive. The Disney executive pointed out that Netflix would be taking on significant legacy assets, including redundant systems and integration headaches.

Meanwhile, Paramount is seen as a more suitable partner for Warner Bros., with its proven track record in building franchises like Star Trek and Transformers. This perception might explain why insiders view the battle for control of Warner Bros. as "watching all this unfold" - with schadenfreude on Disney's part.

The focus at Disney has shifted to determining who will succeed CEO Bob Iger, a question that is expected to be settled soon. Insider estimates suggest Josh D'Amaro remains the top contender, thanks in part to his oversight of Disney's recent video game push, including its partnership with Epic Games. However, some have speculated about exploring the co-CEO model, much like Netflix has done.

As tensions between the parties escalate, it will be interesting to see how this saga unfolds. One thing is certain: for now, Disney insiders are indulging in a bit of schadenfreude at the expense of their competitors, enjoying the drama and intrigue surrounding the battle for control of Warner Bros.

Ugh I feel bad for Netflix 🤔... like they're already in debt from that Fox deal and now they wanna take on Warne Bros? It's a lot to handle 😬. And yeah Paramount seems like way more stable, especially with Star Trek and Transformers franchises under their belt 💫. But Disney is all about succession planning right now, figuring out who'll be the next CEO 🤝. Josh D'Amaro's got some solid cred having helped with video games, but co-CEO with Netflix? That's a weird move 😏. Can't wait to see how this all shakes out, maybe it'll be interesting for us students watching from school 📚💡

man i think netflix is taking on way too much debt for that warner bros deal 🤑 it makes sense why disney is skeptical about it, i mean who wants to take on all those legacy assets? 🤯 meanwhile paramount seems like a way more stable partner for warner bros, especially with their successful franchise history 💼 the drama around this whole thing is just entertaining to watch tbh 👀

I THINK DISNEY INSIDERS ARE GONNA BE REALLY UNHAPPY WHEN THEY LOSE OUT ON WARNER BROS!!! IT MAKES SENSE THAT PARAMOUNT WOULD BE A BETTER FIT FOR THE STUDIO, ESPECIALLY WITH THEIR TRACK RECORD IN BUILDING FRANCHISES. NETFLIX IS ALREADY DEALING WITH DEBT FROM THEIR 21ST CENTURY FOX ACQUISITION AND ADDING WARNER BROS' LIBRARY AND CAPABILITIES COULD BE A BIG MESS FOR THEM. ON THE OTHER HAND, PARAMOUNT SEEMS LIKE THEY'D KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT WORK WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK 🤑

omg what's going on with netflix trying to acquire warner bros 🤯 i think it's kinda crazy considering they already took on so much debt with fox 🤑 but maybe paramount is a better fit? they've got some sick franchises under their belt like star trek & transformers 💥 and honestly, disney insiders seem to be enjoying this drama a bit too much 😏 schadenfreude much? 🙃

omg i'm dead lol daisy's getting roasted by her competitors 🤣 it's like they're all trying to out-drama each other over who gets to mess with warner bros' library meanwhile bob iger's future is still on hold and josh d'amaro might just get the top spot 🤑 but seriously, this whole thing feels like a big game of musical chairs... or in this case, corporate ownership 🎵 can't wait for the next move tho

I'm loving this development 🤔! It's like the whole entertainment industry is being turned upside down, and I am HERE FOR IT 😂! On a more serious note, it's interesting to see how these power struggles can affect the creative output of these big players. I mean, who knows what amazing content might be born out of this mess? 🤞 Maybe Netflix and Disney can even learn from each other and come out with some fresh ideas 🎉! And let's not forget about Paramount - they're always been known for their awesome franchise-building skills 💪! This whole thing is just making me excited for the future of entertainment 📺🎬!

omg I feel like they're all so invested in this whole Warner Bros thing! like can't they just focus on making good content or something? 🤷‍♀️ anyway, I think it's kinda funny how Disney is enjoying the drama 🎉 but at the same time they have their own issues to deal with like who's gonna be the new CEO and all that. Josh D'Amaro seems like a strong contender though! 💪 I'm curious to see what happens next tho

I'm literally loving this drama 🤣, but like, shouldn't we be worried about Netflix taking on more debt? I mean, they already had to sell off a bunch of assets after the Fox deal didn't quite pan out... 😬. And yet, at the same time, I can see why Disney would be skeptical - that library is huge and would be a major undertaking to integrate. But then again, what if Paramount is just not the right fit? 🤔. Can we really put all our eggs in one basket? The whole thing feels so uncertain... 🤯. And what's with people speculating about a co-CEO model for Disney? That's a wild card... 💥

I mean I remember when Disney first started acquiring those Marvel movies, everyone thought it was gonna be huge for them, but now they're just trying to figure out who's gonna take over Bob Iger's role? 🤷‍♂️ It feels like just yesterday we were all excited about the Avengers and now it's Warner Bros. trying to stay afloat... kinda sad, you know?

And can we talk about Netflix for a second? They're trying to buy Warner Bros., but have they thought this one through? They've already taken on so much debt from Fox, I don't get why they'd want to add more. 🤑 It's like they're trying to play catch-up with Disney and Paramount, but they're not even making sense in their own minds.

Paramount seems way more legit right now... they've built up those franchises and have a real track record of success. I mean, Star Trek and Transformers are iconic! 💥 Meanwhile Disney is just over here like "I don't get it" about Netflix's plans... kinda funny if you ask me 🤣

I don’t usually comment but I think it's kinda funny to see Disney enjoying Netflix's struggles lol 🤣 this is like when your mate gets stuck in traffic and you're driving by them going "slow down, slow down" while they're just sitting there 🚗😂 it's like Disney is taking a page out of the ' schadenfreude' playbook and enjoying the drama. Meanwhile, on the other side, Paramount seems like the more stable option for Warner Bros... idk, maybe I'm just missing something?

omg I'm literally living for this drama 🤯! like I get why Netflix would wanna take on Warner Bros. but it seems kinda reckless to me considering Disney's debt situation is pretty rough right now 🤦‍♀️. Paramount seems way more solid in my book, especially with all those franchise-building skills under their belt 💪.

I'm also super curious about who'll be the new CEO at Disney - Josh D'Amaro seems like a great choice, but I wouldn't put it past them to shake things up and try something new 🔄. And can we talk about how schadenfreude is just the best? 😏 watching all these big companies go at each other is just so entertaining!

The world is a stage, and those who are willing to make big bets will often find themselves on the wrong side of history 🤔📉. It's only when we learn from our mistakes that we can truly move forward.

I think it's interesting how Disney's focus has shifted to their own succession plans now that they're not in the running for Warner Bros. Meanwhile, Netflix is trying to navigate a potentially costly acquisition... it'll be fascinating to see how this all plays out 📺💸.

I'm kinda curious about what Netflix's plan is with Warner Bros, feels like they're taking on too much debt already 🤑. I mean, I love a good franchise as much as the next person, but don't they think they're spreading themselves too thin? Meanwhile, Paramount seems like a solid partner - their track record speaks for itself. But at the same time, it's not like Disney isn't playing a bit of schadenfreude with this whole thing 😏. Can we just get some clarity on what's going down and who's next in line for the top spot?

.. can u believe dis? 😂 Disney's got more problems than Netflix has already taken on with 21st Century Fox. It's like, they're trying to fit a square peg into a round hole here. Adding all that legacy stuff is just gonna cause headaches and cost 'em more in the long run. Meanwhile, Paramount's just chillin', makin' movies and franchises happen. And Disney's over here wonderin' who's gonna be their next CEO? It's like, focus on your own problems first, y'all! 😊 This whole thing's just a drama fest, and I'm just happy to watch from the sidelines.

omg can you imagine having to take on that much debt from 21st Century Fox? netflix is already swimming in it and now they wanna add warner bros to their mess 🤯 it makes sense why people are skeptical about this deal... paramont is actually a more solid choice for warner bros, especially with their star trek franchise 💥 i mean disney's gotta focus on who's gonna lead the company next anyway 👀 but this drama around warner bros? it's just so juicy 🍿
