Will any Phillies win MLB awards for 2025?

Phillies in the Running for 2025 MLB Awards, But Will They Take Home Hardware?

The Philadelphia Phillies finished their 96-win season with a disappointing playoff exit to the Dodgers, but that doesn't mean they won't receive any individual awards from the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA). The team had several players and coaches named finalists for various categories.

One player who stands out as a strong candidate for the National League MVP award is Kyle Schwarber. The Phillies slugger set career-highs in home runs, RBIs, and walks while posting an NL-best 4.7 WAR. His impressive performance makes him a front-runner for the award, but Shohei Ohtani's dominance could still keep him out of the top spot.

Meanwhile, manager Rob Thomson is looking to make a strong case for himself as the National League Manager of the Year. After leading the Phillies to their fifth consecutive improvement in win percentage, Thomson's decision-making and likability could help him take home the award. However, with Terry Francona's reputation and Pat Murphy's recent success making it difficult for voters to choose one winner, this category is far from certain.

The Phillies' left-handed pitcher Christopher Sánchez has also made a strong case as a finalist for the National League Cy Young Award. With a career-best 2.50 ERA and 8.0 WAR, Sánchez flourished in his new ace role after Zach Wheeler's injury. While Paul Skenes of the Pirates could be the dark horse winner, Sánchez's impressive numbers make him a strong contender.

Other notable mentions include Andrew Crawford, who is on track to become the Phillies' first Rookie of the Year candidate in several years. Additionally, the team has several players with expiring contracts that will hit free agency this offseason, including catcher J.T. Realmuto and outfielder Ranger Suárez.

I'm loving how competitive the MLB season is turning out to be 🤩. With Kyle Schwarber's impressive performance at the plate and Christopher Sánchez's stellar pitching numbers, it's hard not to root for the Phillies 💪. But I do wonder if they'll be able to take home some hardware with Rob Thomson at the helm - his decision-making has been spot on all season 🤝.

I'm also keeping an eye on Andrew Crawford's rookie campaign - he's got a lot of potential and could be a dark horse candidate for Rookie of the Year ⭐️. And with J.T. Realmuto and Ranger Suárez hitting free agency, it'll be interesting to see how the Phillies address those expiring contracts this offseason 🤔.

One thing I do know is that Shohei Ohtani's dominance can't be ignored 🤯 - he's still the one to beat for MVP. But overall, I think the Phillies have a good shot at taking home some awards 🏆

I'm so over all these awards again... like, can we just play the games already? 🤦‍♂️ The Phillies had a great season, no doubt about it, but 96 wins don't automatically mean they're gonna take home hardware. I mean, Shohei Ohtani's been crushing it this year and he's still in the running for MVP... that's gotta count for something! 🤔 And don't even get me started on Rob Thomson - yeah, he did a great job managing, but manager of the year is such an easy award to give. Can we please just see more concrete evidence before handing it out? 🙄 As for Christopher Sánchez, I love him too, but 2.50 ERA's impressive, but so are a lot of other pitchers' ERAs this season... let's not get ahead of ourselves here... 😒

Man, these awards season predictions got me thinking about how success isn't always a guarantee of recognition 🤔. I mean, Schwarber's on fire, but Ohtani's dominance is still gonna be a factor. It's like how life doesn't always reward you right away for all your hard work – sometimes it takes a little more time and perseverance to get the props you deserve 💪.

And what about Thomson? People say he's making a great case for himself, but sometimes being liked by others isn't enough – you gotta actually show up with some results 📊. It's like how you can put in all the effort in your personal or professional life, but if the outcome doesn't meet expectations, it's hard to get that recognition.

Anyway, these players and coaches are definitely making a strong case for themselves... but let's not count our chickens before they hatch 😉. Can't wait to see who takes home those awards!

the phillies have an awesome team and i think kyle schwarber is def a strong contender for mvp 🤩🔥 his numbers are insane! 📊 4.7 war is no joke. but i still think shohei ohtani's dominance could throw him off the top spot 😐. rob thomson did an amazing job leading the team to improvement and making some great decisions, so he should totally be in the running for manager of the year 🙌. Sánchez's numbers are also super impressive and i'd love to see him take home the cy young award 🎉. what do u think about this? 🤔

I don’t usually comment but it's crazy how one season can make or break someone's chances for awards 🤯. I mean Kyle Schwarber is having an insane year, no doubt about that, 4.7 WAR is some serious stuff ⚾️. But at the same time, Shohei Ohtani is a beast and I wouldn't count him out just yet 😅. And what's up with Rob Thomson, he's definitely done a great job with the Phillies but do we really think Terry Francona's still got it? 🤔 And as for Christopher Sánchez, dude was on fire when he was an ace! But now that Zach Wheeler is back, will Sánchez stay in his role or get pushed aside? So many questions and not enough answers 🤷‍♂️.

OMG u guys I am literally OBSESSED with Kyle Schwarber rn he's had such an incredible season and his stats are insane 4.7 WAR is a whole thing i mean Shohei Ohtani is still a strong contender but I think Schwarber's gotta be in the running for that MVP award 🤯

And Rob Thomson as manager of the year tho he led the team to their 5th consecutive win % improvement which is no joke and his decision-making has been on point all season he's got the likability factor going for him but Terry Francona's reputation is still a major hurdle 🤔

Sánchez is also giving me LIFE with that Cy Young campaign 2.50 ERA and 8.0 WAR is not to be messed with I mean Paul Skenes could be a dark horse winner but Sanchez is a strong contender 😎

I'm literally fuming right now thinking about the Phillies chances for these awards 🤯! I mean, they finished their season strong but got taken down by those Dodgers, you know? But still, Schwarber is ON FIRE 🔥 and he's gotta be in the running for that MVP award. His numbers are insane and if anyone can give Ohtani a run for his money it's him.

And then there's Rob Thomson, man... he's like the underdog candidate for Manager of the Year but I think he's got this 🤝! He showed what he can do leading that team to improvement after improvement. And let's be real, Terry Francona is a legend and Pat Murphy is killing it right now, so Thomson's got some stiff competition but I'm feeling good about him.

And don't even get me started on Sánchez 🙌! The guy went from injured ace Zach Wheeler to a superstar himself. That ERA of 2.50? FORGET ABOUT IT 😲! He's making a solid case for that Cy Young award and I wouldn't be surprised if he takes it home.

But what really gets my goat is how some people are gonna say the Phillies didn't get the recognition they deserve 🤕. They won 96 games, man... that's not something to be taken lightly. And those other players like Crawford and Suárez? They're coming up big this offseason too. This team's got potential and I'm hyped to see what they do next 💥!

omg i'm so hyped for the 2025 MLB awards 🤩 kyle schwarber is def a frontrunner for nl mvp he was on fire all season with those career highs in home runs, rbis, and walks 😲 and tho ohtani's dominance is crazy, schwarber's numbers are insane! 📊 rob thomson should get some love too as the manager of the year, he led the phillies to that 96-win season and his decision-making was spot on 💡 gotta root for him now

🤔 I gotta say, Kyle Schwarber is on fire right now! His numbers are insane 🔥 and he's definitely in the mix for that MVP award 🏆. But, you know, Shohei Ohtani's a beast too, so we'll see how that all plays out 😂. One thing's for sure tho, Rob Thomson did an incredible job as manager this season 👏. The guy can motivate his team to win more games and he's got that likability factor on his side 🤝. I'm rooting for him to take home that Manager of the Year award 💪!

🤔 I've got a feeling that Kyle Schwarber's going to sweep the NL MVP award 🏆💪! His numbers were insane this season, and he was basically carrying the team on his back at times. Shohei Ohtani's still an awesome player, but I think Schwarber's consistency won him over in the end 👍. As for Rob Thomson, yeah, he did a great job leading the team to another improved season 📈, but I'm not sure if it's enough to take down Terry Francona... that dude's got some serious mojo going on 😎. And Sánchez? Forget about it! The guy was like a new ace out of nowhere 🔥! Crawford's Rookie of the Year nod is a no-brainer too 🤩, he was basically unstoppable this season 💥.

I gotta say, it's crazy how one season can turn into a whole different narrative in just a few months 🤯. People are already hyping up Kyle Schwarber for the MVP award, but let's not forget about Shohei Ohtani's dominance on both sides of the ball – he's still got this 🏆. And then there's Rob Thomson, who's trying to make a strong case as manager of the year, but Terry Francona's been doing it for years and Pat Murphy's on fire right now 🔥. Christopher Sánchez is looking solid for the Cy Young too, especially considering he took on a bigger role after Wheeler got hurt 💪. And what about Andrew Crawford? He's gotta be a contender for Rookie of the Year if he keeps this up 🌟. It's gonna be an interesting offseason with players like Realmuto and Suárez hitting the market – we might see some big moves 🔒.

I'm so hyped for the 2025 MLB Awards 🤩! The Phillies had an incredible season and I think they've got a good shot at taking home some hardware 💪. Kyle Schwarber is definitely giving me all the MVP vibes, his numbers are insane 🔥. And can we talk about Rob Thomson? He's been doing a great job leading the team to those big improvements 🔄.

But, I gotta say, Shohei Ohtani is a wild card in that MVP category 🤯. The guy's just too talented. And Christopher Sánchez has got some serious competition going on with Paul Skenes 💥. It's gonna be tough for the Phillies' other players to stand out, but they've still got some great candidates like Andrew Crawford 👀.

I'm also curious to see who'll come out of nowhere and take the Cy Young Award 🤔. The offseason is gonna be lit with all those free agents hitting the market 💸. It's gonna be a wild ride, folks! 😆

I'm hyped about the Phillies chances for those awards 🤩, but I gotta say, their playoff exit was pretty underwhelming 😐. Still, Kyle Schwarber's numbers are off the charts, and he's definitely in the mix for that NL MVP award 💥. Shohei Ohtani's dominance is a wild card, though - you never know what'll happen with him 🤔.

Rob Thomson's managing skills can't be denied, but Terry Francona's got a rep to uphold as one of the best managers around 👏. And then there's Christopher Sánchez, who's been straight fire on the mound 🔥. I'm rooting for Sánchez for that Cy Young Award - he's proven himself to be a top-notch pitcher.

It'll be interesting to see how the voters weigh all these options 🤔. The Phillies have some talented young players on the rise, too, like Andrew Crawford 🚀. Can't wait to see what happens this offseason 💥!

I'm so hyped for the upcoming MLB awards 🤩! I think Kyle Schwarber is definitely in the running for NL MVP, his stats are insane! But you never know with Shohei Ohtani, he's been dominating all season long ⚾️.

Rob Thomson did a great job leading the team to that 96-win season, maybe he should get some recognition as manager of the year 🙌. And Christopher Sánchez has come out of nowhere with his pitching skills, I'm curious to see how the voters will decide on the Cy Young award 🤔.

As for the Phillies' free agents, it's gonna be interesting to see who they sign and what impact they'll have next season 🤑. J.T. Realmuto and Ranger Suárez are definitely going to be in high demand, I hope we get some good moves made this offseason 💼.

I gotta say, I'm loving how well the Phillies are doing, especially Kyle Schwarber! 96 wins is impressive, but I can see why they didn't get too far in the playoffs 🤔... still, all that talent on the team? I mean, it's not just about the wins, but what those players bring to the table. WAR (Wins Above Replacement) numbers are crazy, and Schwarber's 4.7 is insane! 💥

And don't even get me started on Rob Thomson - I love how he's brought that stability and leadership to the team 🙌. Making a case for himself as Manager of the Year? He's got this! 😎 Of course, those other guys like Terry Francona are always a threat, but Thomson's done an awesome job so far.

As for Sánchez, wow, what a season he had! 💪 From ace role to Cy Young contender? That's the kind of stuff legends are made of 🤩. I'm excited to see who takes home those awards - fingers crossed for our Phillies team, though! 😊

I'm loving how the baseball season came to a close 🏟️🔥. What I find really interesting is how the Phillies' disappointing playoff exit isn't going to affect their chances for individual awards 🤔. It's amazing how Kyle Schwarber's impressive stats are making him a front-runner for MVP, but at the same time, Shohei Ohtani's dominance could still give him a run for his money 💪.

I think it's awesome that Rob Thomson is looking to make a strong case for himself as Manager of the Year 📈. His decision-making and likability are definitely important factors in this category. And I'm intrigued by Christopher Sánchez's rise as a contender for the Cy Young Award 🚀. It'll be interesting to see how the voters weigh his impressive numbers against Paul Skenes' dark horse potential.

What I think is missing from all these discussions, though, is the impact on the team's roster and the players who are going to hit free agency this offseason 🤝. Will they re-sign J.T. Realmuto and Ranger Suárez? Or will that be a major turning point for the team? Only time (and some more awards) will tell 🎉
