Wisconsin seeks to block Slender Man attacker's conditional release

Wisconsin Authorities Seek to Revoke Conditional Release of Slender Man Attacker

A Wisconsin court has agreed to keep sealed a petition filed by the state Department of Corrections, seeking to revoke the conditional release of Morgan Geyser, the woman who attempted to kill her 12-year-old classmate in 2014 in the name of horror villain Slender Man.

Geyser, now 23, was released from a state mental institution and placed in a group home after serving eight years. However, she escaped earlier this week, fleeing with a 43-year-old companion who has been charged with trespassing and obstruction. Geyser was found by police in suburban Posen, Wisconsin.

Geyser's attorney did not comment on the state's request to revoke her release, but if successful, it could lead to her return to the mental institution where she spent most of her time or new charges related to her escape.

According to court documents, Geyser had initially been charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the 2014 attack on her classmate, Payton Leutner. The two girls, along with their friend Anissa Weier, stabbed Leutner 19 times in a park, with Geyser narrowly missing her heart. They claimed they were trying to impress Slender Man and become his servants.

Geyser was committed to the mental institution for 40 years after the attack, while Weier received 25 years. Weier earned conditional release in 2021, but Geyser's release was approved in September, despite concerns raised by state health officials about her supposed communication with a man who collects murder memorabilia.

The latest escape has reignited concerns about Geyser's mental fitness and ability to safely reintegrate into society. A motion hearing is set for December 22, where the court will consider revoking her conditional release.

Ugh, this is just great 🤦‍♀️. Like, what even is the point of releasing someone who clearly can't be trusted? I mean, she's already out and had a partner in crime (literally) escape with them... that's not exactly a glowing testament to her sanity or rehabilitation skills 💔. And now they're revoking her release again? It feels like they're just kicking the can down the road and hoping it doesn't come back to bite them... which, let's be real, it probably will 😂.

🤔 The recent developments surrounding Morgan Geyser's escape and subsequent attempt to have her conditional release revoked raise significant concerns about the state of her mental health 🤕. Eight years into her conditional release, it's surprising that authorities are still grappling with whether she poses a risk to public safety 🚨. The circumstances surrounding her initial 2014 attack on Payton Leutner, in which she and her friends stabbed their classmate 19 times in an attempt to impress the Slender Man mythos, were certainly disturbing 😳.

It's worth noting that Geyser has been granted conditional release twice now, with each time seemingly bringing new questions about her stability 🤔. The fact that she was released in September despite health officials expressing concerns about her interactions with someone who collects murder memorabilia is particularly striking 🔍. The court's decision to hold a motion hearing on December 22 will undoubtedly shed more light on the state of Geyser's mental fitness and whether it's safe to continue her conditional release 🕰️.

🤔 I'm not sure if this is a good idea... I mean, Morgan Geyser was released from a mental institution after serving only 8 years and now she's escaped? It just doesn't seem like enough time to me. 🤷‍♀️ The fact that she's already managed to escape again makes me think she needs more supervision. And what about the group home where she was living? Did they not do their job properly? 😕 I'm also worried about her 43-year-old companion who's been charged with trespassing... is he in over his head too? 🤝 On one hand, I understand that Geyser needs help and treatment for her mental health issues. But on the other hand, I think we need to be more careful when it comes to releasing people who have a history of violent behavior. Maybe this is an opportunity for the state to re-evaluate its policies? 🤔

I mean come on, she tried to kill a kid in the name of some creep from internet pics... it's not like she was just joking around 🤣. And now she's out and already escaping? That's not a sign of improvement, that's just bad planning 😒. I don't get why they're trying to revoke her release, though - if she can't even take care of herself, maybe she should be locked up forever 🔒. But at the same time, it's messed up that she was only in for 8 years, and now we're gonna stick her with another 40? It just doesn't seem fair 😐.

I'm getting major flashbacks of that whole Slender Man thing... remember when everyone was freaking out about how real it was? 😱 I mean, Geyser's case still has me thinking, though - like, what even is going on with this girl? Eight years in and she escapes again? It just feels like déjà vu from 2014. And now they're trying to revoke her conditional release... it's like, isn't this the same cycle we've been watching for over a decade? 🤯 The group home thing doesn't sound too stable either... I hope she gets some help soon, but at the same time, I don't know how many times someone can get reset before they're just stuck in this pattern. 😕

I'M TOTALLY FREAKED OUT ABOUT MORGAN GEYSER'S LATEST ESCAPE!!! 🤯 SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE AND SOUND IN A GROUP HOME AFTER BEING RELEASED EARLIER THIS YEAR, BUT NOW SHE'S ON THE LOOSE AGAIN! 😱 WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THESE GIRLS AND THEIR SLENDER MAN STUFF?! IT'S JUST TOO CRAZY! 😂 I FEEL SO BAD FOR PAYTON LEUTNER WHO HAD TO GO THROUGH THAT ORDEAL. THOSE LITTLE GIRLS WERE ONLY 12 WHEN THEY DID IT, IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT. 🤕 THE COURT NEEDS TO TAKE ACTION HERE AND KEEP GEYSER BEHIND BARS WHERE SHE BELONGS! 💪

Meh, this isn't surprising at all 🤔. I mean, she did escape and was found in a pretty secluded area, so it's not like she vanished into thin air 😅. But still, eight years is a decent amount of time to be out on the streets before someone raises some major concerns 🚨. And what's with these "concerns" about her supposed communication with some dude who collects murder stuff? Like, okay, maybe that's not ideal, but it's not like she was released to walk around and get up to no good either 👎. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this all plays out 🤞. Maybe they should've done more due diligence before letting her out, but you can't really put a price on that now 😔.

OMG u can't even 🤯! 23 yr old girl escapes from group home & runs away with some dude who's been charged lol what is wrong with these ppl?! She was released after serving only 8 yrs in a mental institution for stabbing another kid 19 times because she wanted to impress Slender Man like, what kind of sick game is that? 🤪 And now she's escaped again & we're talking about revoking her release... like, come on! shouldn't they have known better by now? 😩
