Woman, 35, killed in Bronx stabbing outside bar following argument, police say

A fatal stabbing in the Bronx has left a community reeling. Pamela Almonte Cabrea, a 35-year-old woman, was stabbed multiple times outside Mama Dora Bar and Lounge early Sunday morning, authorities revealed.

Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred following an argument at the bar on East Kingsbridge Road. Surveillance footage showed a chaotic scene unfolding among late-night revelers as police rushed to the scene shortly after 4 a.m.

Cabrea was taken by private car to BronxCare Health Systems before being transferred to Lincoln Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

The NYPD is currently investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made yet. Police are still reviewing evidence to piece together what led up to the fatal confrontation.

Despite the alarming crime statistics in the area – including a 55% decrease in homicides and a 16% rise in felony assaults within the 52nd Precinct, where the attack took place – police have stressed that they will continue working tirelessly to identify the perpetrator.

πŸ€•πŸ’” this is so sad πŸ€•... stabbing incident in Bronx leaves a community heartbroken πŸ’”. it's just 1 of those random incidents that can happen anywhere 😞. i feel for Pamela Almonte Cabrea, she was just a young woman who got caught up in something terrible πŸ’€.

it's weird how surveillance footage shows chaos but we still don't know what happened leading up to the stabbing πŸ€”. NYPD is doing their thing and reviewing evidence, fingers crossed they catch the person responsible soon πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ.

crime stats are scary indeed, especially when you see that 16% rise in felony assaults πŸ“‰. but we can't let fear take over 😬. we gotta keep supporting our law enforcement and community programs to tackle this issue πŸ‘. here's a simple diagram to show how it all works:
```
lets keep our community safe πŸ’–.
man this is just so sad πŸ˜” i feel bad for pamela almonte cabrea and her family she was just 35 years old and had her whole life ahead of her stabbing incidents are always so senseless and violent it's like, what's going on with our society right now? 🀯 at least the nypd is working hard to investigate this incident but still, no arrests yet which makes me anxious. i've lived in new york my whole life and seen some crazy stuff go down but this one really got me feeling shaken. we need to support our police officers and keep our communities safe πŸ’•
Ugh I cant even post about this πŸ˜”. The forum is so slow today πŸ•°οΈ it's like they're trying to make me wait for a response from 5 minutes ago πŸ’€. Anyway, back to the stabbing in the Bronx... it's just another reminder of how crazy life can be 🀯. I mean, what was this woman thinking walking around alone at 4 am? πŸŒƒ and what led up to that fight outside the bar?! It's like the police are saying they're doing everything they can, but I guess no arrests have been made yet πŸš”... and honestly, it feels like we'll be waiting forever for any updates πŸ’₯. Can't help but wonder what would've happened if she was in a safer area 🌳...
omg what's going on with this city? πŸ’” stabbing incidents like this are so senseless it's always heartbreaking to hear about people losing their lives in such a brutal way. 35 is just too young, you know? πŸ’€ anyway i'm thinking that this community needs some kind of support system right now - maybe counseling or therapy sessions for the witnesses and stuff. we should also be talking about ways to de-escalate conflicts before they escalate into violence 🀝 and like, have more resources available in public spaces where people can go if they're feeling overwhelmed or need help 🌟 the NYPD is doing their job but we gotta do our part too πŸ’ͺ
😞 this stabbing is just devastating - you hear about these things happening all over NYC and it feels like it's always someone else's life that gets affected πŸ€• my heart goes out to Pamela Almonte Cabrea's family and loved ones, they must be going through one of the toughest times right now πŸ’”
man I just saw this news and it's so sad ... I live near the Bronx and I've been there for parties and stuff but never thought I'd see something like this I feel for Pamela Almonte Cabrea, 35 is way too young. I hope the NYPD gets to the bottom of it and catches whoever did this. I've lived in New York my whole life and we've had our share of problems with crime but you know what? We're all human beings and everyone deserves respect and safety. πŸ˜”πŸ•ŠοΈ
this is just another example of how senseless violence can shatter lives in an instant πŸ’” it's like, what even is the point of all this? we're still struggling with our own humanity, trying to make sense of each other's actions... and yet, here we are, lost in the midst of chaos. the stats might show a decrease in homicides, but that doesn't necessarily mean people are becoming safer or more empathetic; it just means they might be getting bolder about hiding their true intentions πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ i feel like we're living on borrowed time, always walking on eggshells waiting for the next senseless tragedy to strike... and what's the solution? do we need more police? more community programs? or is it just our own personal responsibility that needs to step up and take a long hard look at ourselves? 🀯
Man... this is really sad news πŸ€•. I'm thinking about Pamela's family and loved ones right now... their loss is heartbreaking. You know, crime stats might show a decrease in homicides, but that doesn't necessarily mean everyone's safe. There's still so much uncertainty around this stabbing, and it's frustrating for the community to not have answers yet πŸ€”.
The police are doing their best to investigate, which is what matters most. I hope they can gather all the evidence and catch whoever did this soon... justice should be served πŸ’Ό. It's a reminder that we need to always look out for each other, especially in neighborhoods like this one.
Ugh, another senseless stabbing in the Bronx... I'm not surprised, though πŸ€•. It's like these bars are just magnets for trouble. I mean, who goes to a bar at 4 a.m., anyway? It's already late, what more could you want? 😴 And now some poor girl is dead because of it... it's just ridiculous. The NYPD is saying they're doing everything they can, but we all know how that usually turns out πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. They'll probably never catch the person responsible, and even if they do, I doubt justice will be served... anyway πŸ’”. It's just another example of how our city isn't doing enough to keep its citizens safe πŸ˜“.
πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ another stabbing in the Bronx to start the year off right... like we needed more of those. 35 and gone, what a way to kick off 2025. 🚫 I mean, can't people just get along? A bar fight turns fatal, no biggie, right? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Surveillance footage shows a scene straight outta a bad movie – chaotic, disturbing... the works. 😬 And to think they're still reviewing evidence, like it's gonna magically reveal who's responsible and suddenly solve everything. πŸ™„ No rush, NYPD, we've got all day... or at least until the next crime happens.
Man this is really sad πŸ€•... thinkin' about Pamela Almonte Cabrea and her family it's just devastating. stabbing incidents in NYC are gettin on everyone's nerves these days. 55% decrease in homicides, but a 16% rise in felony assaults? that's crazy 🀯 NYPD gotta do better than just reviewing evidence they need to be proactive about keepin the streets safe. This incident shows how quickly things can go wrong when people lose control. so many lives lost because of senseless violence... it's all too much 😩
this is so sad πŸ€•, can't believe someone lost their life over an argument at a bar... it's like, isn't that just so preventable? πŸ’” and yeah i know crime stats are all messed up right now, but let's be real, 55% decrease in homicides is still super high. it means there's still way too much violence out there 🀯 meanwhile, police are working hard to figure out who did this... fingers crossed they catch the person responsible soon πŸ’ͺ
😞 this is so sad... you hear about these things happening on the news and it's like... what's going on with our world? i mean i know crime rates are still high in some areas but come on, a fatal stabbing at 4 am? that's just crazy 🀯 and the fact that there's no arrests yet is even more frustrating 😑. i'm all for the police doing their job but it feels like we're not seeing enough action being taken to prevent these types of incidents from happening in the first place πŸ’”. i wish the city could find a way to address these underlying issues before things get to this point... πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
