A fatal stabbing in the Bronx has left a community reeling. Pamela Almonte Cabrea, a 35-year-old woman, was stabbed multiple times outside Mama Dora Bar and Lounge early Sunday morning, authorities revealed.
Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred following an argument at the bar on East Kingsbridge Road. Surveillance footage showed a chaotic scene unfolding among late-night revelers as police rushed to the scene shortly after 4 a.m.
Cabrea was taken by private car to BronxCare Health Systems before being transferred to Lincoln Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
The NYPD is currently investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made yet. Police are still reviewing evidence to piece together what led up to the fatal confrontation.
Despite the alarming crime statistics in the area – including a 55% decrease in homicides and a 16% rise in felony assaults within the 52nd Precinct, where the attack took place – police have stressed that they will continue working tirelessly to identify the perpetrator.

i feel bad for pamela almonte cabrea and her family she was just 35 years old and had her whole life ahead of her stabbing incidents are always so senseless and violent it's like, what's going on with our society right now? 
at least the nypd is working hard to investigate this incident but still, no arrests yet which makes me anxious. i've lived in new york my whole life and seen some crazy stuff go down but this one really got me feeling shaken. we need to support our police officers and keep our communities safe 
it's like they're trying to make me wait for a response from 5 minutes ago 
and what led up to that fight outside the bar?! It's like the police are saying they're doing everything they can, but I guess no arrests have been made yet 
... and honestly, it feels like we'll be waiting forever for any updates 
. Can't help but wonder what would've happened if she was in a safer area

and like, have more resources available in public spaces where people can go if they're feeling overwhelmed or need help 
the NYPD is doing their job but we gotta do our part too 
i feel like we're living on borrowed time, always walking on eggshells waiting for the next senseless tragedy to strike... and what's the solution? do we need more police? more community programs? or is it just our own personal responsibility that needs to step up and take a long hard look at ourselves?

And now some poor girl is dead because of it... it's just ridiculous. The NYPD is saying they're doing everything they can, but we all know how that usually turns out

I mean, can't people just get along? A bar fight turns fatal, no biggie, right? 
No rush, NYPD, we've got all day... or at least until the next crime happens.
. i'm all for the police doing their job but it feels like we're not seeing enough action being taken to prevent these types of incidents from happening in the first place
