2 people enter Orange Line tracks from train after train stops, opens doors in between stations, MBTA says

Two Orange Line passengers have left a stopped train on the tracks between stations. The incident occurred around 3:45 pm Wednesday when an Orange Line train was halted at Roxbury Crossing.

According to the MBTA, the doors opened while the train was stationary, and two passengers exited onto the track. However, in a surprising turn of events, neither passenger fell out or suffered any injuries from falling off the train. Instead, they managed to exit the train on their own.

Orange Line supervisors and Transit Police, along with Boston Fire Department personnel, assisted the passengers in safely exiting the track area. One of the individuals was taken to the hospital with minor injuries but remained conscious and alert throughout the incident.

The MBTA's safety team is currently investigating the cause of the incident, although they have ruled out mechanical failure or any issues with the train itself. The train was temporarily halted for inspection after the incident, but it is expected to resume service later in the day.

Service on the Orange Line was disrupted while riders were directed to use alternative routes such as the Green Line or shuttle buses between Forest Hills and Back Bay. Normal service resumed around 4:45 pm.

can you even believe what just happened?! two people just casually get off a train that's STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRACKS and they're like "oh cool, I'm good" meanwhile the whole city is waiting for them to move lol but seriously, who does that? did they just have a panic attack or something? and what's with the train doors opening while it was stopped? that's just asking for trouble. and btw, one of them went to the hospital with minor injuries so at least they're okay, but still...

omg that's crazy how did they just walk off the train like it wasn't even a big deal?? i guess the doors opened and they must have been feeling super brave lol 🀯 anyway, what's weird is that they didn't get hurt or anything, it's like fate was on their side? πŸ™ also, why did they have to be taken to the hospital with minor injuries tho? were they really okay after getting off the train? πŸ€”

πŸš‚πŸ˜• I mean, what's up with that? Two people just walk off a train on the tracks without falling off πŸ˜‚... it's like they had some sort of superpower or something πŸ’ͺ! Anyway, glad to hear no one got seriously hurt πŸ™, but seriously, how does this happen? Was there some kind of emergency exit or something that allowed them to get off safely? πŸ€” The MBTA needs to figure out what went down here πŸ“... was it a weird train door thingy? 🚫

Can you believe this? Like, what's next? They're gonna figure out how to walk off trains without falling off too? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ I'm just glad they were okay, even if it was just minor injuries... that's still an injury, right? πŸ˜… Anyway, it's a good thing the train didn't move or anything would've been bad. And I guess the MBTA's safety team is pretty chill, investigating the cause and all... like, no rush, right? πŸ™„ They're probably just sipping tea while they figure out why this happened in the first place...

This is just crazy! I mean, can you even imagine being on a train and your doors just open up in the middle of nowhere? πŸš‚πŸ˜± Luckily for those two passengers, they were able to take matters into their own hands and get off without getting hurt. It's still wild that no one fell off the train or got seriously injured. The MBTA needs to do some extra safety checks, IMO! πŸš¨πŸ’‘ #TrainSafetyMatters #MBTAPrevention #BostonCommuterLife

🚨 Can you believe what just happened on the Orange Line? I mean, two people just walked out of a stopped train onto the tracks 🀯! I'm glad they were okay, but seriously, how do you even...? One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, which is still better than falling off and hurting themselves badly 😬. The MBTA is looking into what caused this crazy situation, so we'll have to wait and see if anyone will be held accountable πŸ€”. In all seriousness, I'm just glad no one was seriously hurt πŸ™. On the bright side, it's a good reminder to always stay vigilant when riding public transportation πŸ”!

can you believe that? two people just walked off a train that was literally stopped in the middle of the tracks 🀯 like what even is that? i mean, the fact that they didn't get hurt is crazy, but still... how do you just get up and walk out when the doors are open like that? πŸš‚πŸ‘ anyway, glad no one got seriously injured, and kudos to the MBTA's safety team for investigating this ASAP πŸ”. also, nice thinking on having those alternative routes in place, saved a lot of people from getting stuck 😊. just hope it gets back to normal soon! ⏰

πŸ€” I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one... like, what even happens when you're on a train and the doors open while it's stopped? πŸš‚πŸ˜‚ It's crazy that no one got hurt! Those two passengers must have been pretty lucky or just really know how to make a quick exit πŸ•°οΈ. And yeah, I get why they'd want to investigate what happened - safety first and all that πŸ’‘. But still, it's like, how do you even...? πŸ˜‚ Anyway, glad the train is back up and running now πŸ‘!

idk what's goin on w/ these trains lately πŸ€―πŸ˜‚! like, isn't safety a priority? one thing i do get is why they didn't lock the doors when it stopped at Roxbury Crossing... it just doesn't add up πŸ€”. so glad no one was seriously hurt tho πŸ’ͺ, but still, gotta ask questions about this incident 🚨. and can we talk about how some ppl are literally lucky to be alive? i mean, what were they thinkin', just gettin' off the train on a stopped line like that? πŸ™„. anywayz, hope the people who got hurt are doin alright πŸ’•!

πŸ˜’ I'm not buying this story at all... Two passengers just happen to get off a stopped train on the tracks, no big deal right? πŸ™„ But then one of them gets taken to the hospital with minor injuries and suddenly it's a 'surprising turn of events'? What are the chances of that happening in real life? I'm sure it's all just a coincidence. πŸ‘€ The MBTA is trying to spin this as some kind of unusual anomaly, but let's be real, we've seen plenty of weird stuff happen on public transport before. πŸš‚ Maybe they should focus on finding out what really happened instead of making up excuses? πŸ€”

Ugh, can you believe this? So two people just chill on a stopped train for who knows how long, and then they get off without even getting hurt πŸ€―β€β™‚οΈπŸš«. I mean, what's the protocol here? Is it just an open door policy now? "Hey, we're not moving, you can just get off wherever you feel like" πŸ˜’. And now they have to investigate how this happened... like, is it gonna be a thing where trains are stuck all over the place and people just walk around on 'em? πŸš‚πŸ˜΄.

Just had to imagine being in that situation 😱. I mean, it's crazy enough when you see it happen on a train, but the fact that these two passengers actually made it out on their own without falling off is just mind-blowing 🀯! I guess the MBTA needs to review those doors and make sure they're working properly so this doesn't happen again. And what's up with the emergency services being there in like, 2 seconds? It's always a good thing when first responders are on their game πŸ’¨. Anyway, glad everyone involved is safe, even if one of them did get hurt, that's just part of the deal sometimes πŸ˜•.

You know what really got me thinking about this whole thing? Like, what's up with these two passengers just walking off that train like it's no big deal πŸ€”. I mean, think about it - if a train is stopped on the tracks, you've gotta be careful, right? You don't wanna get squished or anything 😳. But in this case, they're just chillin', exiting onto the track without any issues... it's like they knew exactly what they were doing πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

And have you seen those pics of the train after it was inspected? I mean, it looks pretty normal to me πŸ“Έ. I wouldn't put it past them to be hiding something, though. Maybe there's more to this story than we're being told 🀫. I'm gonna keep digging into this one...

😲 Can you believe that? I mean, I know trains can be a bit unpredictable, but this is just crazy! So basically two people just decided to get off the train on the tracks while it was stopped... who knows what's going through their minds?! 🀯 And lucky for them, no one got hurt. Like, literally nothing happened πŸ˜…. Just imagine being like "oh I'll just step out here and onto the tracks"... talk about taking a risk! πŸ’₯ Anyway, glad they're okay (one of them was even minorly injured) and that the train is back up and running πŸš‚πŸ’¨

I don't get what's up with these people who just leave trains like that πŸ€”πŸ˜‚, I mean, can you imagine? You're already on a train, thinking everything is fine, and then suddenly the doors open and you're out onto the tracks... it's crazy!

But seriously, what's going on here? Was it some kind of panic or did they just lose their minds for a sec? 🀯 The fact that they didn't even try to get back on the train is wild. I guess sometimes people just do stupid stuff and we're all left wondering why πŸ™„.

I'm glad no one got seriously hurt, though, which is the priority. Those two passengers were lucky, for sure 😊. And kudos to the transit police and firefighters who showed up quickly and helped them out. It's good that they were able to get the train back on track (no pun intended) and resume service soon πŸš‚.

Now I'm curious to know what caused this whole thing... was it some kind of medical issue or did they just need a break? Either way, I hope these two passengers learned a valuable lesson about being more careful in public places πŸ˜….

I'm like totally shocked that those two passengers didn't get hurt, but at the same time, I mean, who just gets up and walks off a train on tracks? It's crazy! And I thought for sure they were gonna be like "Oh no, I'ma fall off" and stuff. But nope, they're all good πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. I guess you never know what's gonna happen when you're in a weird situation, right? The MBTA is investigating and trying to figure out what went down, but I don't see how they can get to the bottom of it since...I mean, what exactly happened? πŸ€” Was it just one of those random moments where everything clicked into place? Or was there more to it than meets the eye? Hmm, I'm still on the fence about this one 😐.
