2026 Gasparilla expected to be ‘one of the coldest on record’; here’s what you should wear

I'm so down for a cold winter in Tampa, but like seriously, who wants to freeze their pirate booty off at Gasparilla? I remember last year's parade was super fun, but my toes were literally numb for hours afterwards... I swear, thermal underwear is the way to go this year! And don't even get me started on howling winds - can you imagine your pirate costume flying away in the gusts? I'm def gonna layer up with some fleeced-lined leggings and a windbreaker jacket. Who knew pirate jackets were a thing?! Anyway, gotta stay warm and comfy for those parade hours...

I'm so fed up with these cold snaps! Can't we just have a chill (pun intended) winter for once? I mean, I get it, people want to party and have fun at Gasparilla, but can't they just add some extra heating to the parade route or something? It's just not fair that everyone has to dress like they're going to Antarctica. Thermal underwear and windbreaker jackets are a must-have now? It feels like we're living in a winter wonderland... of hypothermia.
