A 22-year-old man made an extraordinary call for help by driving himself to work after being shot in northwest Harris County on Friday morning. The Harris County Sheriff's Office confirmed that deputies responded to a report of shots fired at around 7:25 a.m. and found the victim, who had been shot twice - once in his shoulder and again through his neck.
Initially, officials stated that the shooting victim was 25 years old, however, this has since been corrected to 22. According to Sergeant Freder MuΓ±oz with HCSO, the victim's car showed signs of having two bullet holes before he even arrived at work.
When the shooter arrived on the scene, he went into the workplace where his colleague provided first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was then airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition, undergoing surgery.
However, no suspect has been identified, and it is not yet clear where the shooting actually took place. According to Sergeant MuΓ±oz, it may have been related to a road rage incident but the investigation is ongoing.
