5-year-old and father detained by ICE in Columbia Heights, shaking community

OMG 🤯 this is so crazy... I mean I know we need border control and all but detention a 5 year old boy? That's just not right 🤕. What if he's got a medical condition or something? His dad should've known better than to get into a situation like that with ICE around 😬. And the school district is so scared now... I feel bad for those kids and their families who are going through this stress 💔. We need to make sure our schools are safe spaces for everyone, not just worried about immigration 🤝.

OMG you guys, this is soooo sad 😭🤕! What even is going on here?! ICE detaining kids as young as 5 years old? Like, what's next? Their parents are already super stressed and worried about being deported too... can't we just have a safe space for our schools where no one has to fear deportation or arrest? 🙏🏽💖 The fact that they're saying the kid was "abandoned" by his dad is like, so not cool 😒. I'm totally with the school district on this - we need to stand up and demand change! We can't just sit back and let our schools become a place of fear and uncertainty 💪🏽💫
 
this is so messed up, a 5 year old boy was just playing school when he gets detained by ice officers 🤯. i dont think its right to take kids from their parents in front of them, or on the way to school, thats not how we do things here lol. schools should be safe for everyone, not just some families who are trying to make a new life 💔. what about the kids who werent even involved? they must be feeling so scared and worried about whats happening in their community 🤷‍♀️. i hope the school district can get these kids back home safely and soon 🚪🕊️
