Tensions boiled over in Dorchester Wednesday morning when a dispute over a shoveled parking space turned violent, police said. The incident began when a 41-year-old man arrived at the scene and saw his neighbor's vehicle parked in what he believed was a spot he had cleared of snow.
A confrontation ensued between the two neighbors - a 47-year-old male who suffered significant bleeding to his hands - and Javier, 47, who faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury.
According to police, Javier became involved in the dispute and allegedly stabbed the man in the hand with a knife. The woman, who was trying to intervene, also sustained an injury to her hand.
Javier was arrested by officers at the scene and taken into custody after they rendered aid to the injured parties, who were ultimately taken to local hospitals by Boston EMS.

This just shows how out of control life can get when we're all stressed and anxious about everything, including something as mundane as clearing the driveway. And what really gets me is that Javier just lost control for a split second and now he's facing serious charges 
. Just wish everyone could take a deep breath and calm down for once 
just heard about this crazy situation in Dorchester... i mean, who gets violent over a parking spot?! 
hope Javier gets the help he needs now.

But seriously, how many times do we need to see this kind of thing happen over a parking spot? It's just ridiculous.
i'm not saying javier's actions were cool, but let's not be too quick to judge here... seems like both parties had a point and it escalated pretty fast. what if javier wasn't even aware the guy was trying to use his cleared space? 
maybe there's more to this story than meets the eye? shouldn't we try to see things from each other's perspective before condemning someone? 
... like how everything is just so fast-paced nowadays! Anyway, what's really got me thinking is that in my day, we didn't have all these fancy parking spots with lines and signs... it was just whoever showed up first got the spot, you know? And yeah, I've seen some crazy stuff in my neighborhood over the years, but stabbing someone over a parking space? That's just wild

. But come on, a shoveled spot is not worth getting stabbed over 
. It's crazy how people can let emotions take over and make poor decisions. The woman trying to intervene didn't deserve that either - what if the police hadn't shown up when they did? 
. Anyway, it's just another example of how we need to work on our conflict resolution skills... or at least learn to put down the knife for a hot second

. What's even crazier is that Javier was trying to help the woman who intervened, but police still arrested him 
like, what's next? someone gets mad about a pothole on their street and starts throwing rocks at the city truck? 
but on the bright side, it's good that officers were there to intervene and help everyone out 
... you know, I saw this recipe for that new Korean BBQ place downtown and it looked so good! Have you guys tried it? Anyway, back to this Dorchester thing... can you imagine being a morning person and then suddenly having to deal with some crazy neighbor? I mean, I get that the snow spot was important, but stabbing someone is just not cool 
. Anyway, glad the police were there in time to stop the bleeding and get everyone to the hospital 
. This just goes to show you can't let little things like snow-covered parking spots get under your skin... or literally, in Javier's case 
And while we're at it, who clears their parking space anyway? Always seems like the people who are least likely to need it are the ones who do it...

. And to think Javier was stabbed and so was another person trying to help him... poor guys. I'm glad the cops were there quick enough to catch Javier and get everyone the medical attention they needed
