I just binged this "A Ghost in Your Ear" audio drama and I'm literally shaking ! The sound design is crazy, it's like they're really trying to freak me out . I mean, who needs all those creepy ambiance sounds when you can just use your imagination? But seriously, the cast does a great job of keeping me on the edge of my seat... or rather, in my car - I was listening to it during a long drive and I swear I heard something behind me! Sound design is the real MVP for this one.
I'm so stoked to hear about this audio drama, I mean "headphone horror" sounds like my kinda thing ! I'm all about getting lost in a good story and this one seems to have it all - creepy ambiance, jump-out-of-your-seat scares, and some awesome sound design too. The whole setup of the actor and sound technician recording an audiobook in this remote studio is super atmospheric and I love how they use the creaking floorboards and flickering lights to build tension. And I'm a big fan of that Jonathan Livingstone guy, he sounds like he's really good at conveying fear on audio .
