A very silly prank show for Fonejacker fans: best podcasts of the week

If you're looking for a podcast that will leave you in stitches, Fonejacker fans are in luck this week. Kayvan Novak's latest series, The Brian Badonde Bodcast, is back and sillier than ever. This time around, the infamous art critic – known for his bumbling antics and bizarre interviews – sits down with comedian Adam Buxton to discuss everything from music to...well, more music. Ella Eyre, a singer who's clearly not intimidated by Novak's shtick, joins in on the conversation, offering an honest look at her experiences in the industry.

But The Brian Badonde Bodcast isn't the only podcast worth tuning into this week. Dani Shapiro's Family Secrets continues to fascinate audiences with its mix of interviews and therapy sessions. This time around, she delves into a particularly disturbing topic: people who hide their true identities – including an actor who claimed to be Black after 9/11.

If you're looking for some acting advice without the angst, Shvorne Marks' How to Be an Actor and Not Lose Your Sh*t is the podcast for you. The Baby star dishes on her own struggles in the industry, from crying into pillows to joblessness, and shares words of wisdom with fellow actors Pearl Mackie and Stacey Dooley.

Meanwhile, the BBC's investigative World of Secrets: The Child Cancer Scam takes a dark look at online scams targeting families of sick children. And for those who love history, War Hall: A Theatre of the Mind is a slick production that explores the science of sound and the story behind London's Walthamstow Assembly Hall.

All of these podcasts are available now, so what are you waiting for?

I'm still on this whole podcast thing from like 2015, but it's crazy how many new ones have popped up. Reminds me of when Spotify first started and all the playlists everyone was making 🤣. But seriously, The Brian Badonde Bodcast always cracks me up - I used to love watching Fonejacker with my mates back in the day. And I'm glad to see Ella Eyre is talking about her experiences, it's not often we get to hear from artists who aren't trying to sell us something 😂. Anyway, I'll have to check out those other podcasts, but I do hope they're as funny and engaging as TBBB 🤣.

I'm loving this week's podcast lineup 🤣🎙️! The Brian Badonde Bodcast is always a hoot with Kayvan Novak's hilarious antics, and having Ella Eyre join in on the conversation is just perfect - I mean, who wouldn't want to chat about music with someone who sounds like they're having the time of their life? 😄

But what really caught my attention was Dani Shapiro's Family Secrets. Exploring people who hide their true identities is such a complex and fascinating topic - it's like, how do you even know who you are when you're not being your authentic self? 🤔 It sounds like Dani does an amazing job of delving into these topics with sensitivity and insight.

And if you're looking for some acting advice that's actually super relatable (no angst required 🙅‍♀️), Shvorne Marks' How to Be an Actor is exactly what the doctor ordered. I love how she shares her own struggles in the industry - who hasn't cried into a pillow at some point, right? 😂 It's so refreshing to hear someone being real about their experiences.

The BBC's World of Secrets: The Child Cancer Scam is also super important and timely. Online scams targeting families of sick children are just heartbreaking and despicable - I'm so glad the BBC is tackling this issue.

Lastly, War Hall: A Theatre of the Mind sounds like an absolute treat for history buffs - exploring the science of sound and the story behind London's Walthamstow Assembly Hall? That sounds like a total blast! 🔥

I'm like "whoa, identity crisis much?" 🤣 I mean, people claiming to be someone they're not? That's like me trying to pass off a dodgy haircut as a fashion statement 😂. Anyway, I guess it's good that Dani Shapiro's podcast is tackling some tough topics... or should I say, "tackling" is the wrong word, she's more like "exposing" 😳. And can we talk about how Shvorne Marks' podcast is giving me all the feels? I mean, who hasn't cried into a pillow and thought, "this is it, I'm never acting again"? 🤣

I think this list is like life itself, full of ups and downs 🤯. You got your comedians and actors who can make us laugh and feel good 😂, but then you got those tough topics that need to be talked about, like Dani Shapiro's podcast on people hiding their true identities. It's like when we try to put on a mask in life, pretend everything is okay when really it's not 🤷‍♀️. And then there are the podcasts that expose the harsh realities of online scams and child cancer scams... that's just the dark side of human nature 😔. But you know what? I think that's why we need these kinds of podcasts, to shake us out of our comfort zones and make us face the truth 🌟. So yeah, go ahead and tune in, but be prepared for some laughs and some tough real talk 💬!

Wow 🤣 just when I thought podcasting couldn't get any better, it seems like there's even more content coming out! Interesting how a mix of comedy, true stories, and investigations all under one umbrella - gotta check out that child cancer scam ep 😷

omg, i just listened to The Brian Badonde Bodcast and it was SO much fun 😂... but did kayvan novak really become an art critic? 🤔 i mean, i love the guy's shtick, but isn't he still mostly known for his comedy work? 🤷‍♂️ anyway, the interviews with ella eyre and adam buxton were definitely entertaining! 👏

I don't know if I'd take this podcast recommendation too seriously 🤔. How do we even verify the authenticity of someone claiming to be Black after 9/11? 🚨 Those types of claims can be super sensitive and I need some more info on that before I start tuning in. Plus, isn't it weird that the podcast is already promoting this episode without giving us any details about how she came by that claim? 😕

I just binged The Brian Badonde Bodcast and I'm DYING 😂🤣. As a parent, it's always a challenge to find podcasts that our kids will enjoy without being too cringeworthy (no offense Kayvan!), but this one is the real deal! 🙌 I love how Adam Buxton keeps him in check, though. And Ella Eyre seems like an amazing person to have on – so honest and refreshing 💖. Meanwhile, Shvorne Marks' How to Be an Actor and Not Lose Your Sh*t is giving me major adulting anxiety 😩 - who hasn't cried into a pillow at some point?! 🤣 Anyways, can't wait to dive into the rest of these podcasts!

i think its wild how ppl can find joy in listening to podcasts about art criticism lol 🤣🎧! kayvan novak is a genius or something 😂, but seriously, i love that he's created this character that just brings laughter and entertainment to people. at the same time, i also appreciate podcasts like Dani Shapiro's Family Secrets that tackle more serious topics and offer insightful conversations 👍

I'm lovin' this new wave of podcasting. There's somethin' so satisfying about laughin' out loud on a Tuesday mornin', ya know? The Brian Badonde Bodcast is like bein' part of a secret joke club, and I need more of that in my life. 🤣 But what I'm really impressed by is how these podcasts tackle tough topics with sensitivity. Dani Shapiro's Family Secrets is doin' some real heavy lifting when it comes to explorin' identity and trauma. And War Hall: A Theatre of the Mind? Game-changer for anyone who loves history or just wants to learn somethin' new. The world needs more thoughtful, feel-good podcasts like this 🌈👍

omg i'm so down for this new podcast lineup 🤣! kayvan novak's always been a hilarious guy & it's awesome he's got another series out. but seriously tho, the ones that caught my attention are family secrets & how to be an actor... they're tackling some really tough topics in such an open & honest way 💕. i love how shvorne marks is sharing her own struggles as a actress & offering advice - it's so inspiring! and world of secrets sounds like a must-listen... the child cancer scam is just heartbreaking 🤗. gotta check out those podcasts ASAP! 😂

lol I'm already listening to The Brian Badonde Bodcast and it's literally got me dying 🤣 Ella Eyre is hilarious with that art critic Kayvan Novak 😂. But seriously, I love how this week's podcast lineup has something for everyone - from comedy to therapy sessions...and now War Hall: A Theatre of the Mind sounds really interesting 🎧. Been listening to Dani Shapiro's Family Secrets lately and it's just so thought-provoking 🤯. And Shvorne Marks' How to Be an Actor and Not Lose Your Sh*t is giving me major adulting motivation 💁‍♀️. Anyone else tuning in?

I'm totally obsessed with Adam Buxton, he's hilarious! But honestly, I love how some podcasts are tackling real serious issues like online scams targeting families of sick kids... it's so sad 😔. The World of Secrets: The Child Cancer Scam sounds super important, we need more content like that 💡. And have you guys listened to War Hall: A Theatre of the Mind? It's so cool how they're exploring the science of sound 🎧!

man I'm loving the comedy vibes from The Brian Badonde Bodcast this week. Kayvan Novak always cracks me up but having Ella Eyre on is a great move she's super down to earth and her music is fire 🎶. And Fonejacker fans will love all the nostalgic nods throughout the episode 🤣. On a more serious note though, Dani Shapiro's Family Secrets just got really deep and uncomfortable - I love that kind of unflinching conversation 💬. Have any of you guys listened to War Hall? The BBC did some great work on this one 👏

I'm loving this week's podcast lineup! 🤣 The Brian Badonde Bodcast with Adam Buxton is always a good laugh, but it sounds like Kayvan Novak's getting even sillier this time around. And I'm intrigued by Dani Shapiro's Family Secrets exploring people who hide their true identities - that's some deep stuff 💭. Also, Shvorne Marks' podcast about navigating the acting world without losing your mind is super relatable 🤷‍♀️. The BBC's World of Secrets and War Hall: A Theatre of the Mind sound like must-listens for me though... all these true crime and history podcasts are so interesting! 👀

🤣 I'm loving the new series of The Brian Badonde Bodcast 🎙️! Kayvan Novak always cracks me up with his awkward interviews and silly antics 😂. But seriously, Ella Eyre joining in is a great addition – she's so down-to-earth and honest about her experiences in the music industry 💯. And I'm really intrigued by Dani Shapiro's Family Secrets, especially the part about people hiding their true identities... it's like, what's going on with our world? 🤔

And Shvorne Marks' podcast is so relatable 🙌, who hasn't cried into a pillow at some point in their acting career 😂? I love that she's sharing her struggles and words of wisdom to help others. As for the BBC's World of Secrets: The Child Cancer Scam, ouch, that one's really disturbing... online scams targeting families of sick kids is just horrific 🚫.

What I do love is the diversity of these podcasts 🌎 – from comedy to history, and everything in between 🤓. There's something for everyone here, so I'm definitely tuning in 📻!

I'm loving the variety of podcasts out there right now 🤣. I've been tuning in to The Brian Badonde Bodcast and it's hilarious, but what really got me was Dani Shapiro's Family Secrets episode on people hiding their true identities. It's like, we're living in a time where identity is so fluid and yet there are still people who feel the need to fake it. We should be celebrating our differences, not hiding behind them 🌈. And War Hall: A Theatre of the Mind sounds super interesting - I love learning about history, but also how we can use sound as a tool for storytelling... maybe we could even use that for social activism? 💡
