Ads Are Coming to ChatGPT. Here’s How They’ll Work

🤔 I think this is a tricky situation for OpenAI... On one hand, adding ads can bring in some serious cash to support their business and make ChatGPT more sustainable. Plus, if done right, it could be a great way to monetize the platform without compromising the user experience 🤑. But at the same time, I'm worried that introducing ads might change the vibe of the chatbot - people are super trusting of ChatGPT because it's always so helpful and neutral 🤖... Will the clear labeling and opt-out options be enough to alleviate concerns? Only time will tell 🕰️.

👀 I also wonder how OpenAI plans to handle user preferences and data usage. If they're really committed to keeping users' data private, that's a big ask 💻. And what about those ads below the chatbot answers? Will it be too much of a disruption? I'm not sure, but I hope OpenAI gets it right 😊.

Ugh 😒 I'm not sure about this one... I mean, I get that ads are a thing now but can't we just focus on making the chatbot better instead of slapping up more boxes to make money? 💸 It feels like they're prioritizing profits over what made ChatGPT so great in the first place - its ability to provide helpful and unbiased answers. 🤔 And I'm not convinced that their ad approach is going to be as smooth as they claim... it's always a red flag when you gotta opt-out of data sharing just to avoid seeing ads 🚫
