Aerial footage shows aftermath of fire at Greek biscuit factory that left four dead – video

Tragedy struck at a Greek biscuit factory yesterday, leaving a devastating trail of destruction and loss of life in its wake. Footage captured from high above reveals the shocking extent of the inferno that ravaged the site, where four workers lost their lives.

The aerial images show a scene of utter chaos, with flames engulfing the factory's exterior and smoke billowing into the air. Emergency services were swiftly deployed to the scene, but unfortunately, it was too late to save all those trapped inside.

As investigators begin to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy, questions are already being raised about the safety protocols in place at the factory. Industry insiders have expressed concern over the lack of adequate fire suppression systems and emergency preparedness measures.

Eyewitnesses report hearing loud explosions and screams for help as the fire raged on, with many more injured and still receiving treatment at local hospitals. The Greek government has promised a thorough inquiry into the incident, with promises to implement new safety regulations to prevent such tragedies in the future.

The factory, which produced popular biscuit brands, has been shut down indefinitely pending the outcome of the investigation. Family members of those who lost their lives are still reeling from the shock, as they struggle to come to terms with the loss of loved ones.

As the nation mourns the loss of four young lives, the Greek government vows to take swift action to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again.

This latest factory disaster in Greece is truly heart-wrenching 🤕. The severity of the tragedy underscores the need for robust safety measures in our industrial infrastructure. It's alarming to see how inadequate fire suppression systems and emergency preparedness protocols can lead to catastrophic consequences like this. The fact that multiple eyewitnesses reported hearing explosions and screams for help during the blaze highlights the urgency of implementing more effective crisis management strategies 🚨.

I'm not surprised by the concerns expressed by industry insiders, as there have been warnings raised about the lack of safety regulations in our manufacturing sector. It's disheartening to see that despite these warnings, tragedies like this still occur 💔. The Greek government's promise to conduct a thorough inquiry and implement new safety regulations is a step in the right direction, but it's essential to acknowledge that more needs to be done to prevent such incidents from happening in the future 🔬.

The families of the victims are, understandably, going through unimaginable grief, and I hope that their loved ones' sacrifices will not be in vain 🙏. It's crucial that we learn from this tragedy and strive for a safer, more responsible industrial landscape that prioritizes human life and well-being 💕.

😔 this is so senseless... factories got to have better safety measures in place, you feel? like, who loses their life in a fire over biscuits 🍪🔥 it's just not right. i'm all for the greek gov making sure they do a proper investigation and implementing new rules to prevent this from happening again tho 👍 they gotta make sure these workers are protected 💼🕊️

🤕 this is so sad what's going on with those factories in greece they're always burning down and it's like nothing ever changes they just keep putting out new fires but not really fixing the problems anyone who works at one of these factories knows its a ticking time bomb just waiting for another accident I'm actually surprised more people didn't die 🙏

anyway i heard that some people were screaming for help from outside the building before it even caught fire like what was going on in there? did they have any warning signs or fire drills? this is so frustrating

🤕 it's just so devastating that 4 people had to lose their lives because of a factory fire... i mean, what's the point of all these safety regulations if they're not being taken seriously? 🤦‍♂️ the fact that there were loud explosions and screams for help but still couldn't save everyone is just heartbreaking. and now we have to deal with the aftermath where families are struggling to cope with their loss... it's like, what can be done to prevent such tragedies in the future? 🤔 maybe they should've had better fire suppression systems and emergency preparedness measures in place... but at what cost? 🤑 i feel so bad for the families of those who lost their lives... 😢

🤕 this is so sad i mean those people were just trying to make biscuits for us and now they're gone it's like they're stuck in our daily bread 🍞😔 what's going on with fire safety in these factories? it's like they're just winging it 🙅‍♂️ you'd think that would be a no-brainer considering how many people are killed every year in factory fires. and now we have to wait for months or even years for the truth to come out about what really happened 🕰️ this whole thing is giving me anxiety just thinking about it 😬

😱🤯 This is just so heartbreaking! I keep thinking about those poor workers who lost their lives in that fire - 4 innocent people gone too soon 🙏. It's just not right that they had to suffer like that because of a lack of safety measures at the factory. It's like, we should be able to trust big companies to keep us safe, you know? 🤦‍♀️

And it's crazy how quickly this whole thing could've been prevented if there were proper fire suppression systems in place and emergency preparedness plans in action 💡. I mean, I'm no expert, but it just seems like common sense, right? 🙄

I feel for the families of those who lost their lives - it's just devastating to think about what they're going through right now 😔. And I hope that this whole tragedy doesn't get lost in the shuffle because of the factory being shut down temporarily ⏰.

But seriously, I do hope the Greek government takes this as a wake-up call and makes some real changes to prevent this kind of thing from happening again 🤞. Our thoughts are with Greece and those affected by this tragedy 💕.

this is just so heartbreaking 🤕 I was reading about this on reddit and I couldn't believe what I saw in those photos... the fire looks like it was spreading fast and the workers were trapped inside, no chance of escape. and the factory was producing all these delicious biscuits, making a living for people and families... it's just so unfair 💔

Ahhh 😔 my heart goes out to all those who lost their lives 🤕 this is just so senseless 💔 can't believe it happened at a factory where people were making yummy biscuits 🍪👀 hope the government gets to the bottom of this and makes sure they put in place some new safety measures ASAP 💯 my thoughts are with the families of those who passed away 💖

😱 This is just heartbreaking 🤕... I mean, can you imagine walking into work one day and never coming out? It's just devastating 💔... those poor guys who lost their lives should be remembered and honored in any way possible ✝️... safety protocols are everything, folks! It's not enough to have them on paper, we need to see action taken 🚨💪... I'm all for the Greek government taking a hard look at what happened and making sure it never happens again 💯... it's time to put people over profits 🤑... just my two cents, but seriously, how many times do we have to go through this? 😩

Ugh, I'm literally so sad about this factory fire, but at the same time, it's kinda crazy how they didn't have any fire suppression systems in place 🤯. I mean, shouldn't that be like, basic safety protocol? And what's with all these new regulations that are going to come out of this investigation? Is it even possible to implement them quickly enough without just pushing the problem elsewhere? 🙄 Still, 4 lives lost is way too many, and my heart goes out to the families affected 😔. But can we also talk about how some people might be using this as an excuse to sell more fire safety gear online? Like, let's not get distracted from the actual issue at hand, okay? 🙃

😔 this is just heartbreaking my thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives at the biscuit factory, it's so sad that there were loud explosions and screams for help but emergency services couldn't get there in time 💔🚒 I hope the investigation gets to the bottom of what went wrong and that new safety regulations are put in place to prevent something like this from happening again 🤞 those poor workers were just doing their jobs and didn't deserve to die like this 💀

🤕 just saw those pics of the factory fire and I'm still shaking my head in horror... 4 lives lost is just heartbreaking. I know safety protocols are always being debated but it's clear that more needs to be done to prevent these kinds of disasters. Those firefighters did everything they could, but sadly it wasn't enough. The fact that there were loud explosions and screams for help suggests that the fire was moving fast - you can only imagine how terrifying that must've been for everyone trapped inside 🚒💥

This is just heartbreaking 🤕. Four innocent people lost their lives in an accident and it's all because of poor safety measures at the factory... I mean, you can't even imagine how scared those people must have been running around inside trying to escape the fire. 😱 And now their families are going through this devastating grief... it's just not right.

We need to make sure that factories like this one are held accountable for prioritizing safety and putting measures in place to prevent something like this from happening again. I'm glad the government is promising a thorough investigation, but we also need to hold the factory owners and management responsible for their negligence.

It's times like these when we really need to come together as a community to support each other and make sure that no one else has to go through what those families are going through... 🤗

😩 just can't believe what's happening in Greece right now... those workers were just trying to make a living and provide for their families, and this is what happens 🤯. It's not just the loss of life that's devastating, it's the fact that it could've been prevented with better safety measures 😔. I mean, who doesn't know about fire suppression systems and emergency protocols? 🙄 it's not like we're talking about a small incident here, we're talking about a factory where people were lost their lives... that's just unacceptable 💔. And now they're promising to implement new regulations? well, sooner is better, I guess 😒. Can't wait to see what the investigation turns up, but for now, my heart goes out to those who lost loved ones 💕.

I'm still trying to process this 🤕... The fact that there were loud explosions and screams for help but emergency services still couldn't get everyone out in time is just heartbreaking 😩. I mean, we all know how fire safety protocols are supposed to work, but it's one thing to know they exist and another to see them in action when it really matters 🤦‍♂️. The Greek government needs to do a lot more than just promise new regulations - they need to make sure those measures are actually enforced 💪.

Man, this is just so heartbreaking 😔! Losing anyone is never easy, but four people? That's just devastating. You know what's crazy though? I was just thinking about how awesome the emergency responders were - they must've been on their way in like 2 seconds flat ⏱️! And now we're gonna get to see some real changes happen in safety protocols... that's gotta be a good thing 🙌. I mean, accidents will still happen, but at least we can learn from this and move forward. The biscuit industry is definitely gonna have to step up its game though - no more excuses! 🍪💯

This biscuit factory fire is literally baking up some serious issues 🍞😱 I mean, who needs that much drama in their snack time? On a more serious note, 4 lives lost is just devastating - my heart goes out to the families of those affected 💔🙏. Safety regulations are like the icing on the cake (or should I say, the sprinkles on the biscuit?) - you can't have too much of 'em! 🍰💪 Let's hope the Greek government gets to the bottom of this and puts a stop to these kinds of disasters from happening again ⚠️💼.

🤕 The fact that the factory didn't have proper fire suppression systems is just heartbreaking 🙁. It's like they were playing with people's lives like it was all just a big game 😱. And the explosions and screams for help from inside... ugh, it's just too much to handle 🚒. I mean, we all know that safety protocols are super important, but apparently, this one was a major oversight 🤦‍♀️.

I'm glad the Greek government is taking this seriously and promising new regulations, but at what cost? Four lives lost... it's just so sad 😔. I hope the families of the victims can get some kind of closure soon ❤️.
