I feel so bad for that person who got their tail spoiler and brake light ripped off at Tesco's automated car wash


! £750 is a huge amount of money, and it's crazy that Tesco is trying to avoid taking responsibility for the damage


. I get that mistakes can happen, but the fact that they're not accepting liability and citing some dodgy maintenance report just doesn't sit right with me

It's also really frustrating that they're giving all these people the same response, like their car wash was fine when it clearly wasn't

. And what's with that disclaimer at the entrance? It seems like a pretty clear-cut way to avoid blame

. I'm worried about this person having to take legal action against Tesco – that can be such a stressful and costly process

If I were in their shoes, I'd definitely want to try and get compensation through my insurer first

, but if that doesn't work out, I think it's time for some serious investigation into how these car washes are being run

. Someone should be looking into this to make sure people aren't getting taken advantage of
