"Alarming": Sen. Wyden demands investigation into JPMorgan Chase's ties to Jeffrey Epstein

Senate Dem Demands Probe into JP Morgan's Ties to Serial Sex Trafficker Jeffrey Epstein

A damning report from Senator Ron Wyden, D-Ore., has sent shockwaves through JP Morgan Chase as he alleges the bank may have knowingly underreported suspicious transactions related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for nearly two decades. The Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member has called for a full-scale investigation into JP Morgan's complicity in Epstein's crimes.

According to Wyden's report, which cites unsealed court documents, JP Morgan Chase waited until after Epstein's arrest and death in 2019 to fully report on $1.3 billion in suspicious activity reports (SARs) filed between 2002 and 2016. The delay was allegedly due to a desire by bank executives to continue working with Epstein.

"Emails raise the possibility that this was due to JPMC executives' desire to continue working with Epstein," Wyden's report states, citing communications in the court documents.

The bank has expressed regret over its association with Epstein but claims it cooperated fully with law enforcement after the sex trafficking details were made public. However, the House Oversight Committee has issued a subpoena demanding certain records related to Epstein, including information on over 4,700 flagged SARs.

Wyden is calling for JP Morgan to face "criminal investigation" for its alleged complicity in Epstein's horrific crimes, stating that "complicit banks ought to be investigated... as should anybody who helped Epstein traffic his victims or took part in the abuse."

The revelations have sparked intense scrutiny of JP Morgan Chase's financial ties to Epstein, with many calling for greater accountability from the bank. As the investigation unfolds, questions remain about how far-reaching the bank's complicity may have been and whether other institutions also played a role in enabling Epstein's crimes.

The Senate Finance Committee report has shed new light on JP Morgan's alleged failure to disclose suspicious transactions related to Epstein, raising concerns about the bank's commitment to compliance and its willingness to prioritize profits over public safety.

๐Ÿค” This is just mind-blowing... JP Morgan Chase knew about all this and didn't say a word for 18 years? That's some serious corporate greed going on here ๐Ÿ˜ท. I mean, what if they had reported those transactions earlier? It could've stopped Epstein from doing so much damage to so many people. And now they're saying they cooperated with law enforcement after it was all over... that doesn't sit well with me ๐Ÿšซ. We need to know more about how deep this corruption goes and whether other banks were involved too ๐Ÿ’ธ. This just highlights the need for better regulation and accountability in the financial sector ๐Ÿ’ช.

I'm getting all shook up just thinking about this... ๐Ÿคฏ JP Morgan Chase knew or should've known about Epstein's shady dealings for ages, and they still managed to hide it from law enforcement! It's like, what were they waiting for? The bank's whole vibe is now toxic, you know? ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿšซ I feel so bad for the victims who went through this. This is some messed up stuff, and someone needs to be held accountable ASAP... ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿค” I'm kinda surprised that it took a Senate Dem like Ron Wyden to bring this to light ๐Ÿ™„. It's wild to think that JP Morgan was just chillin' with Epstein for 18 years, knowing full well what he was doing ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. And now they're all like "oh no, we didn't report it in time" ๐Ÿ˜’. I mean, can you even imagine how many people were affected by their negligence? It's gotta be super frustrating for the victims and their families ๐Ÿ‘Ž. Maybe this will prompt some real change at JP Morgan and get them to take their compliance game more seriously ๐Ÿ’ช. But for now, it's just a lot of questions and not enough answers ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ. This whole situation is giving me serious "how did we let this happen?" vibes ๐Ÿ˜ณ

omg i cant even right now!!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ jp morgan chase is literally getting roasted for their ties to epstein and it's not even close to being enough!!! ๐Ÿ’ธ they're saying they waited till after he died to report the suspicious transactions that were filed FOR YEARS ๐Ÿคฏ $1.3 billion and they just casually threw it under the rug like it was no big deal ๐Ÿ˜’

and what really gets me is that they're claiming they cooperated with law enforcement but REALLY THEY JUST DIDNT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN KEEPING THEIR BOSS EPSTEIN HAPPY ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ i mean come on folks, this is not just about epstein's crimes this is about jp morgan chase's complicity in those crimes too and it needs to be investigated fully ๐Ÿ”

wyden is totally right, complicit banks like jp morgan should face criminal investigation and if anyone helped epstein traffic his victims or took part in the abuse they should be held accountable too ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ this isnt just about epstein's legacy this is about making sure that no one else gets away with being a serial sex trafficker and that justice is served ๐Ÿ’ช

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’ธ The more I read about JP Morgan's ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the more I'm reminded of the dangers of unchecked corporate power and influence. It's time for some accountability, don't you think? ๐Ÿ’ช

I'm literally shook by this news ๐Ÿคฏ. I mean, can you believe that JP Morgan Chase was aware of all these serious red flags with Jeffrey Epstein but chose to keep quiet? Like, how messed up is that? ๐Ÿค‘ They're basically saying they wanted to keep on working with Epstein because profits trump everything? It's disgusting ๐Ÿ˜ท.

And now Senator Wyden is calling for a full investigation and I'm so down with that ๐Ÿ‘. JP Morgan Chase needs to be held accountable for their actions. This isn't just about Epstein, it's about how this bank prioritizes money over people ๐Ÿšซ. They need to explain why they didn't report all these suspicious transactions sooner.

I hope the House Oversight Committee gets some answers soon ๐Ÿคž. The public deserves to know what was going on behind closed doors at JP Morgan Chase. This is a huge deal and it's about time someone shines a light on their complicity in Epstein's crimes ๐Ÿ’ก.

๐Ÿคฏ I'm shocked, but not surprised, by these allegations against JP Morgan Chase. It's like, come on, guys, you can't just turn a blind eye to suspicious activity reports just because it involves a high-profile client like Epstein! ๐Ÿค‘ I mean, what's next? Are they gonna say that their profits were worth the cost of human lives? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ The fact that they waited until after Epstein's arrest and death to report on $1.3 billion in SARs is just gross. It's like they knew something was off and chose to ignore it. And now, Senator Wyden is calling for a full-scale investigation, which is the bare minimum these people deserve. ๐Ÿšซ I'm all for accountability, especially when it comes to institutions that claim to be about serving the public good. ๐Ÿ’ธ This whole thing stinks of cover-up, and I want to see some serious consequences come out of this. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿคฃ Can you believe this? JP Morgan Chase was too busy making money with Jeffrey Epstein while his victims were getting trafficked ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’ธ. Like, did they really think they could just fly under the radar for almost two decades? ๐Ÿ˜‚ And now they're all like "oh no, we didn't report these suspicious transactions" ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, come on guys, you knew better! ๐Ÿ™„ The bank's commitment to compliance is basically a joke ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ. Maybe it's time for them to get their priorities straight and start putting public safety over profits ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’–.

๐Ÿคฏ Can't believe JPMorgan was so slow to report on all that shady activity with Epstein... like, 1.3 billion in SARs just collecting dust for 14 years ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ What kind of system allows this to happen? And they claim they cooperated fully with law enforcement after the whole thing went public ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Not buying it. This stinks of a big cover-up ๐Ÿ’ธ

omg this is so messed up jp morgan knew about epstein's sex trafficking stuff for years and didnt do anything about it ๐Ÿคฏ they're basically saying that profits > human lives and thats disgusting ๐Ÿ˜ก i dont understand how they could be so blind or corrupt to think they could just keep doing business with him after everyone else had already found out what was going on. it sounds like a huge cover up to me ๐Ÿšจ

๐Ÿค‘ This is getting juicier by the minute... think about it, a major bank like JP Morgan knew about all this and just didn't want to rock the boat? ๐Ÿค” How many people did they get hurt or help? We need to see some serious answers here ๐Ÿ‘€.

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ธ I'm really worried about this, you know? Like, a big bank like JP Morgan getting away with this stuff for so long is just not right. It's like they were more interested in keeping their reputation intact than doing the right thing. And now that it's finally come to light, there are going to be some serious consequences I hope. The fact that they only started reporting suspicious transactions after Epstein was arrested and died is just red flag after red flag. It's not just about JP Morgan though, this raises so many questions about how systemic this problem is and whether other institutions were involved too. We need to get to the bottom of this and make sure that justice is served. ๐Ÿ’”

Umm... I think JP Morgan should totally be investigated for this ๐Ÿ˜’... but at the same time, like, can't we just assume they're innocent until proven guilty? ๐Ÿค” I mean, don't get me wrong, it's super shady that they only reported those transactions after Epstein died and stuff. But what if they were just following orders from someone higher up? ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ Maybe there's more to the story than we know...

And I'm all for greater accountability and public safety and all that ๐Ÿค... but shouldn't we also be, like, super careful not to jump to conclusions or anything? ๐Ÿ˜ณ We don't want to ruin innocent people's reputations or whatever. It's just so complicated ๐Ÿคฏ...
