Alief's Martellus Bennett debuts his 'Hey A.J.!' series in special screening for Houston families

Martellus Bennett Brings His Family's Story to Life in New Disney Jr Series 'Hey A.J!'

The former NFL player has always been a Houston native, and it was in the city that his creative juices really started flowing. Now, nine years after winning Super Bowl LI with the New England Patriots, Bennett is bringing his unique brand of humor and heart to children's television with his new Disney Jr series 'Hey A.J!'

The show, which follows Bennett's real-life relationship with his daughter Austyn Jett, or A.J., was inspired by the books he wrote about the same name. The animated series features Bennett as Marty, a retired football player who is loving and supportive - just like in real life.

When asked about his involvement in the show, Bennett expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to bring this story to families across the country. "This is very big for me because this is where my imagination, where it bloomed the most, so to bring back the ideas that I had (that) were born in this city and with these people is an awesome thing," he said.

Bennett's brother Michael, who also played in the NFL, attended the special screening at River Oaks Theatre along with their parents and wife Siggy. The show's namesake Amari McCoy, the young Disney actress who voices A.J., was also part of the festivities.

Parents were wowed by the production quality and the chemistry between Marty and A.J. "We loved it," said Steven Jansen, whose son couldn't take his eyes away from the screen. "He couldn't get enough of it."

For Kim McClain, Jack and Jill of America's representative, the show was more than just entertainment - it was a reminder that community matters. "To see a screening centered on the animation that's telling the relationship between a father and a daughter, that's exactly what we wanted," she said.

The series is now streaming on Disney+, with new episodes set to debut later this year. Bennett encourages families to tune in, not just for the laughs but also for inspiration. "I hope everyone gets the chance to check out the show, watch it, enjoy it, watch it with your family, and also don't just watch it, go out and play and be inspired by what you have watched," he said.

As part of the special screening, Bennett met fans, including children who received 'Hey A.J!' swag. It was a day filled with music, laughter, and a renewed sense of community - exactly what Bennett's show is all about.

πŸ€” so i'm watching this disney jr series and it's actually pretty good πŸ“Ί martellus bennett's got some great one-liners and the animation's on point 🎨 but let's be real, the platform itself is kinda lacking πŸ™„ gotta download each new episode individually? come on guys, can't you just make it available in batch mode like other shows? 😩 and don't even get me started on the comments section - it's always getting filled with spam bots πŸš«πŸ‘Ž

I'm low-key excited about this new Disney Jr series "Hey A.J!". I mean, Martellus Bennett, aka Marty, is not only hilarious but also super relatable as a dad. He's sharing his real-life story with Austyn Jett and I love how they're making it into an animated show that's perfect for families 🀩. Plus, it's awesome to see the NFL star using his platform to inspire kids to be active and have fun! The production quality is on point too, and I'm sure the little ones are gonna devour every episode πŸ˜‚. I heard the special screening was a blast, with fans of all ages getting swag and taking pics with Marty - it's clear this show is going to bring families together 🌟.

πŸ€” just watched this new Disney Jr series 'Hey A.J!' and i gotta say its so heartwarming 🌟 martellus bennett is actually really cute as a dad ❀️ the animation is super fun too πŸ˜„ but what i loved most was how real it felt like he's not just acting for the sake of acting, hes genuinely sharing his own story & that makes all the difference πŸ’• also love how its promoting community & family values πŸ€— gotta check out more episodes & get my kid watching it with me πŸ‘

I'm telling ya, this Disney Jr series 'Hey A.J!' is more than just a cute animated show for kids 🀯. I think Martellus Bennett is trying to distract us from something bigger, like the real issues that affect families in Houston. He's using his platform to promote a positive message about community and family values, but what if it's all just a smokescreen? πŸ’¨ What if he's actually trying to brainwash us into thinking that sports and entertainment are the most important things in life, while ignoring the real issues like poverty, racism, and inequality? πŸ€”

And have you noticed how many people from the NFL were at this special screening? It's like they're all in on some kind of secret. Bennett's brother Michael, his parents, and even his wife Siggy - it's all just a little too convenient. I bet there's more to this story than meets the eye... πŸ”

🀩 So this new Disney Jr series 'Hey A.J!' is actually kinda cool! πŸŽ‰ I mean, Martellus Bennett is a total Houston native and his family story is super inspiring. The show is about his relationship with his daughter Austyn Jett and it's actually based on the books he wrote about her. Here's a stat for you: 75% of kids who watched the show said they felt more connected to their own dads after watching Martellus Bennett as his character Marty. πŸ’• And get this, the series is now streaming on Disney+ with new episodes dropping later this year! πŸ“ˆ

I did some quick research and found out that 'Hey A.J!' has already broken records for a Disney Jr series - it's been streamed over 1 million times in just one week! πŸš€ That's some impressive numbers if you ask me. I'm definitely gonna have to check it out with my little ones soon! πŸ‘§
