Ant and Dec are gearing up for their first podcast series together, 'Hanging Out With Ant and Dec', which is set to debut next week. The unlikely duo will take listeners on a journey of catching up and reminiscing about their illustrious careers in television, allowing fans to relive memorable moments and share anecdotes.
The pair, who have hosted numerous high-profile shows including I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, will release episodes every fortnight starting January 22nd. However, they're not stopping there - a bonus episode will be dropped every Monday, ensuring fans stay glued to their digital channels.
In an interesting twist, Ant and Dec are launching a new digital platform called Belta Box, which promises "fun, feelgood content that brings people together". The platform is set to feature curated clips from their shows, including the beloved children's drama Byker Grove, where the duo first made a name for themselves as childhood TV stars.
Dec explained the podcast concept: "We asked our audience what they'd like us to do if we did a podcast and they said 'just hang out'. So that's what we're doing - it's perfect for us, since we don't get to hang out as much as we used to." Meanwhile, Ant added: "We've spent our careers celebrating great entertainment, so launching Belta Box feels like the natural next step. It's time to create a space packed with fun and feelgood content that brings people together."
The pair have also hinted at revisiting their musical roots - in 2013, they reached No 1 on the UK singles chart with a re-release of their song Let's Get Ready to Rhumble, which originally dropped in 1994.
