Archaeologists find a supersized medieval shipwreck in Denmark

omg u guys ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿšข this is soooo cool!!! archaeologists just found a massive medieval cargo ship off denmark's coast ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ›๏ธ it's like 28 meters long ๐Ÿ˜ฑ can u even imagine sailing on that thing? ๐Ÿคฃ the ship has all these awesome features like a stern castle and galley ๐Ÿด๐Ÿšฎ and we know it was carrying tons of cargo when it sank ๐Ÿ“ฆ๐Ÿ’ธ but what's really interesting is how they built those ships โš’๏ธ did u know that cogs could get this big? ๐Ÿค” the merchant class was getting rich back then ๐Ÿค‘

I donโ€™t usually comment but I just saw this news and it's wild ๐Ÿคฏ. So like the ship was over 28 meters long which is crazy for that time period and it had some super cool features like a stern castle and galley. It's also interesting to think about why they didn't have any ballast stones, maybe it was trying to maximize cargo space? Anyway, I'm not really an archaeology expert but this find seems pretty epic ๐Ÿšข. The fact that they found all these everyday items like combs and shoes is really cool too. It's like you can almost imagine what life was like on the ship ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿ’ก just think about it... this ship was like a luxury hotel on the water ๐Ÿšฃโ€โ™€๏ธ 300 tons of cargo, a galley, and all that fancy stuff must've made for some amazing feasts ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ meanwhile, people back in port are still sailing around in tiny Viking ships ๐Ÿ™„ what's the point of being rich if you can't afford a better ship ๐Ÿ˜

omg like this is so cool ๐Ÿคฏ, can you even imagine sailing on a ship that big in the middle ages?! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ it's crazy to think about how advanced medieval shipbuilders were considering the time period they're from. the fact that they could build something like Svaelget 2 and still manage to lose ballast stones is mind-blowing ๐Ÿคฏ. i'm so down for more digs on this kind of stuff, like it's a whole new chapter in history books for me ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿค” I'm not convinced this ship was as big as they're saying it was... 300 tons of cargo sounds like a lot but how did they even measure that back in the day? And what's with all these 'superb superstructures' being found on ships that sank over 600 years ago? Are we just being tricked into thinking this is some kind of medieval Disneyland ๐ŸŽ . And btw, where are the pics of the ship from beneath the water? Show us the proof before I believe it ๐Ÿ˜.
