Asus Made a Split Keyboard for Gamers—and Spared No Expense

Asus has taken the leap and created a split keyboard designed specifically for gamers, but at what cost? The ROG Falcata is a 75% split keyboard that boasts fast and comfortable typing. It features 8,000-Hz wireless polling, fully-adjustable Hall effect switches, and gaming-focused capabilities like Rapid Trigger and SOCD input.

The keyboard's layout is familiar, with the two halves slotting together seamlessly when not in use. However, this design comes with some drawbacks. The left half of the keyboard is wireless, while the right half is wired, which can be a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the lack of quick-disconnect capabilities between the two halves can make it difficult to switch between the two modes.

One feature that sets the Falcata apart from other split keyboards is its modular design. The internal assembly is straightforward, with a bottom-mount design that eliminates "dead zones" and isolates typing from the case. However, this also means that the keyboard's internal components can be accessed easily, which may deter some users.

The Hall effect switches allow for adjustments to actuation distance, rapid-trigger sensitivity, and RGB brightness, making them customizable. The keyboard also features TTC Gold magnetic switches as an aftermarket option, which is a welcome improvement over traditional Hall effect switches.

Despite its impressive design and features, the ROG Falcata comes at a steep price of $420 MSRP (or $280 with discount). Whether or not this keyboard is worth it for most users depends on their specific needs and budget. While work-from-home gamers who want a single-solution keyboard that can save desk space may find the Falcata ideal, others may not benefit enough from its split design to justify the expense.

Ultimately, the ROG Falcata is a solid but not spectacular gaming keyboard that excels in comfort and performance. Its unique design and features make it a great option for those who want a high-performance gaming keyboard with a twist, but at $420, it's hard to say whether it's worth breaking the bank for.

omg i cant even afford a keyboard like this lol what if they made one that was wireless all the way and didnt cost so much?? i mean dont get me wrong its cool and all but 420 bucks is just too much for me rn btw did u see that new video game that came out last week?

omg i need this keyboard so badly!!! 1k msrp is kinda steep tho 🤑 but if u r a serious gamer like me i think its worth it 😅 and btw who doesnt love a good split keyboard design lol? i mean, its not perfect but i guess that's what makes it unique right? 🤔

OMG u no how expensive this thing is?? like, $420?! that's soooo much for a keyboard lol. but at the same time, i can see why ppl wud wanna splurge on it cuz its got all these fancy features like wireless polling and customizable switches 🤯. also, the design looks super sleek and futuristic 🚀. but idk if its worth it for most people... like, isnt a normal keyboard good enuf? or do ppl really need a split keyboard 2 type more efficiently on their desk? 🤔

I gotta say, I'm kinda torn about this new Asus ROG Falcata split keyboard 🤔. On one hand, 75% split is pretty cool and sounds like a game-changer for work-from-home gamers. And let's be real, $280 is a lot more reasonable than $420 😅. But at the same time, I'm not sure if it's worth the extra cash when you gotta deal with that awkward wireless-to-wired transition and lack of quick-disconnect capabilities 🤦‍♂️. The modular design does sound neat tho! 💻

Ugh I don't know about this one 🤔...I mean, 75% split is pretty cool and all that jazz 💻 but the fact that half of it is wireless and you gotta carry around a separate controller just doesn't seem right to me 🚫 It's like they're trying to make it too convenient and then it's like "nope, gotcha!" 😂 Plus, the price tag is kinda steep for me 🤑 Like I get what gamers want, but do we really need to shell out that kind of cash? 💸

im so down 4 the ROG Falcata tho lol its like, i need a new keyboard ASAP and this thing looks fire 🤯 the modular design is genius and i love that u can customize the switches but idk if its wroth the $420 price tag atm 🤑 ill probs get it tho cuz gaming is my life 💻

I'm not sure about this new Asus ROG Falcata split keyboard thingy... I mean, 75% split is kinda cool, but it also means there's some extra hassle when you wanna use both sides together 🤔. And what's up with one side being wireless and the other wired? It feels like they took a step forward but then stepped back because of that weird disconnect issue 🚫. And don't even get me started on how expensive it is at $420! 🤑 I mean, if you're a work-from-home gamer who wants to save space and have this fancy keyboard, sure go for it 💻. But for the rest of us, I'm not convinced it's worth the price tag 😐. The design and features are solid, but we need something that won't break the bank 🤑

"Believe you can and you're halfway there." 💪 They really outdid themselves with this 75% split keyboard lol I mean its def not perfect, like how they had to wire one part of it which is just weird...but still i think its a solid choice for gamers who need something that can adapt to their playstyle.

I gotta be one of the few ppl who think this keyboad is ovrpriced 🤑. I mean, sure its design is pretty cool and all, but 420 bucks? That's just crazy talk! Most gamers are prob gonna stick with a good ol' wired keyboard that gets the job done, not some fancy-schmancy wireless split keyboard that's more hassle than it's worth 😂. And dont even get me started on the design flaws like the wireless/wired thing... thats just lazy engineering if u ask me 👎

I'm so hyped about this new Asus keyboard lol 😂🎮 I mean, 75% split is insane! But at the same time, I can see how the wireless part might be a bit of a pain in the neck sometimes 🤯. I wish they had made it easier to switch between modes tho 💔. On the bright side, the modular design is so cool! 👍 I love that you can just pop open the case and swap out parts whenever you want 🔧. And the Hall effect switches sound AMAZING 🤩. The fact that you can customize them like that is insane! 💥 My only concern is the price tho... $420 is steep even for a gaming keyboard 🤑. But hey, if it's what you're looking for, go for it! 😉

I think its pretty pricey 😅 considering you gotta deal with this wireless-wired mess, where half the keyboard is constantly disconnected or connected, which can be super annoying. And also, who needs all these fancy features if you're not gonna use them to their fullest potential? I mean, $420 for a keyboard is already steep enough, let alone when you consider how many other amazing gaming keyboards are out there that won't break the bank 💸.
