Atlanta Fed chair steps down as Trump attacks central bank's independence

🤔 this whole thing got me thinking... we need to be careful not to let politics dictate our institutions from within - the Fed's role is to keep an eye on inflation & stabilize the economy, not get swayed by who's in power right now 💸. Bostic may've left, but his legacy should remind us all that true leadership isn't about personal ambition, it's about serving a higher purpose 💕. we gotta protect our institutions from being hijacked by politicians who want to shape the economy to their own interests - it's time for us to have a more nuanced conversation about what that means 🤝

man I'm so worried about the fed's independence 🤔... Trump's trying to exert influence over them? that can't be a good thing for america's economy 📉... Bostic was a great leader, his legacy will be hard to fill 😊... Jerome Powell is stepping up but what if he gets pressured too? 💼 we need the fed to make decisions based on data and not politics 🤝

man, can you believe what's going on with the fed?? 🤯 they're basically being bullied into doing what trump wants, which is crazy 🙄 bostic's departure is a major blow, he was doing some real good work in atlanta and it's sad to see him go 💔 but on the bright side, his successor will be chosen through a national search so hopefully someone with some brains will end up at the helm 😅 anyway, this whole thing just highlights how important it is for the fed to stay independent, that's what keeps us from going off a cliff economically 🚨

🤔 think they're gonna mess with the fed's independence now? since trump wants a say in interest rates, what's next, like, federal bake sales or something? lololol anyone else worried about the implications of a politicized central bank? my money's on powell being pushed out too soon...
