The two-time champion won the match 6-1 7-6 (7-1) to reach her third consecutive Grand Slam quarter-final. Sabalenka, seeded second at Melbourne Park, has been in dominant form this week, winning three matches without dropping a set. She will face Jovic, who upset 14th seed Camila Giorgi in the previous round, for the first time at a Grand Slam tournament.
