The Algarve is like a hidden gem that not many people know about 
I mean, sure the beaches are gorgeous but there's so much more to this region than just sand and sea. The fact that they have these ancient standing stones and cork forests is mind blowing! And have you seen those azulejos tiles? So intricate and beautiful 
I think what really stood out for me was the community aspect of it all. Seeing how the locals come together for the festival of magusto and just having a great time, sharing food and drinks... that's something special
Plus, the fact that they're working on preserving traditional skills and industries like ecotourism is really admirable 
And can we talk about the star of Bethlehem flowers? Those are like nature's own little miracle
I'm definitely adding those to my bucket list. Seriously though, if you haven't been to the Algarve before, it's time to give it a shot!
