I gotta be real with you, I'm not convinced by all this hype around this movie 🤔. I mean, it's about Irish women who turned to crime in 19th-century America... yeah, that's a whole lot of drama and potential for sensationalism 😒. I'm not saying it can't be done well, but we gotta remember that history is complex and messy 🤕. Also, 86% of female prison population in New York? That's a whole lotta women who got caught up in some pretty desperate situations 🤯. I'm not sure we're getting a nuanced portrayal of these women if we just focus on the crimes they committed. We need to explore what led them there and how society failed them.
