Barry Manilow postpones Las Vegas residency shows after undergoing lung cancer surgery

Iconic Singer Barry Manilow Postpones Las Vegas Residency Due to Lung Cancer Surgery

Renowned singer and songwriter Barry Manilow, 82, has postponed his highly-anticipated residency shows at Westgate Las Vegas due to undergoing surgery for lung cancer. The concerts were set to take place from February 12 to 21.

Manilow recently shared an update on his Instagram account stating that he's "doing great" and recovering well after the surgery, where he revealed he was diagnosed with lung cancer in December 2025. According to Manilow, doctors have deemed it best for him to postpone the residency dates so he can focus on healing and getting ready for the upcoming tour.

The singer expressed his gratitude for the support of fans, assuring them that tickets for the postponed shows will be refunded. In a recent statement, Manilow also revealed that doctors were fairly certain his cancer did not spread but recommended further testing to confirm the diagnosis. He added that he would not need chemotherapy or radiation treatment, opting instead for "chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns" as part of his recovery plan.

Manilow's decision to embark on a farewell tour has been met with mixed emotions from fans, who are both saddened by the singer's health struggles and appreciative of his dedication to performing. The Grammy Award winner acknowledged that he's not alone in facing declining health, citing fellow musicians Billy Joel, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, and Diana Ross as those who have also been affected.

The postponed residency shows will give Manilow ample time to rest and prepare for the tour kicking off at the end of February. His 2026 farewell tour is set to conclude on April 29 with a final performance at Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia.

OMG, I'm kinda sad about Barry Manilow's residency being postponed πŸ€• but like super happy he's doing okay after the surgery πŸ’Š! Lung cancer is no joke, so glad doctors are keeping an eye on it πŸ‘€. Chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns for recovery? πŸ˜‚πŸ“Ί genius move, dude! And I feel him, we all get worried about our health as we age 🀝. Those fellow musicians he mentioned have been through the same, so he's not alone πŸ’•. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for Barry and his farewell tour, can't wait to see what it's gonna be like πŸŽ‰!

I feel so bad for Barry Manilow πŸ€•. I mean, who wouldn't want to perform and make people happy, but now he has to take care of himself first. I'm sure it's tough on him too, being a touring artist is not easy, especially when you're 82 πŸ’ͺ. At least he's getting the best medical attention and has a solid support system. His sense of humor about needing 'chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns' to recover cracks me up πŸ˜‚, but seriously, we all wish him a speedy recovery πŸ™. It's great that he's being honest about his health struggles and acknowledging that it's part of life 🀝. Fingers crossed for Barry and all the fans who are rooting for him πŸ’•!

awww man... Barry Manilow's got lung cancer πŸ˜•... he's one of those legends we grew up listening to with our parents πŸ’”... I mean, who else can rock out like him and make everyone feel all warm and fuzzy inside 🎸... I remember watching him on TV back in '82, he was already a star 🌟... now he's gotta postpone his residency shows... poor guy πŸ˜“... chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns? that's the best recovery plan ever lol... my grandma used to watch I Love Lucy all the time when she had the flu, it was like her own personal cure πŸ’Š... anyway, glad he's doing okay and the fans are supportive πŸ™... can't wait for his farewell tour though... gonna be a wild ride πŸ˜†

man i feel so bad for barry manilow πŸ€• he's still got some amazing music left in him but his health gotta be the priority atm... it's weird how we worry about celebrities getting sick more than our own fams tho πŸ€” anyway, happy to see he's taking a chill approach to recovery - who wouldn't want chicken soup and i love lucy reruns after surgery lol? πŸœπŸ“Ί hope he gets back on stage soon and gives us an epic farewell tour 🎸

awww man πŸ€• barry's got some major health issues going on πŸ€’ but it's super great that he's prioritizing his recovery and getting those extra tests done πŸ’Š i mean we've all been there with declining health and seeing our idols struggle too πŸ’” so to see him taking care of himself like that is actually kinda inspiring 🌟 let's get him back on stage when the time is right, I'm sure he'll be rocking out just as sweetly as ever 😎

awww man πŸ€• Barry's been through so much and it's amazing he's taking his health super seriously. I mean, who needs concerts when you can have chicken soup & I Love Lucy reruns? πŸ˜‚ seriously though, 82 is old but he's still rockin'! πŸ’ͺ and it's great that he's got a support system - fans are being super understanding and it's awesome to see fellow artists rallying around him. πŸ’• his farewell tour might be a bummer for some, but at least we get more of his legendary tunes πŸŽΆπŸ’–

omg u guys, barry manilow's health struggles r heartbreaking πŸ€•πŸŽΆ but we gotta be happy for him too! he's a total legend and his dedication to performing is so inspiring. i love how down to earth he is about everything, like that chicken soup and i love lucy reruns recovery plan lol πŸ²πŸ“Ί. fans are feeling both sad & grateful at the same time which is fair imo... we need more positivity in our lives πŸ’–. anyway, can't wait for his 2026 farewell tour tho!

I feel so bad for Barry Manilow πŸ€•. He's been through so much and it's great that he's doing okay after the surgery πŸ’ͺ. I mean, have you seen his stats on lung cancer? It's like, 90% of people who get diagnosed will be fine with just chicken soup and rest πŸ˜‚. And let's be real, "I Love Lucy" reruns are not going to hurt anyone!

According to my research, lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in men aged 65-74 πŸ“ˆ. But Barry Manilow is still killing it at 82, right? 🎀 His residency shows have been selling out fast, but I guess you can't rush a man's recovery 😊.

I'm also loving his stats on Grammy Awards - he's got like 4 or 5 πŸ†. And let's not forget about those other legends he mentioned - Billy Joel is still touring at 75 and Elton John is still rocking till he drops πŸ’₯. It's great to see the music community supporting each other.

Anyway, I'm sending all my positive vibes to Barry Manilow during this time πŸ™. Can't wait for his farewell tour in 2026 - it's going to be epic! 🎸

omg what's goin on w/ barry manilow 🀯 he's got lung cancer and now he's postponin his whole residency show cuz he needs 2 focus on gettin better πŸ€• i feel bad for him but at least he's takin it easy w/ some chicken soup & I love lucy reruns πŸ˜‚πŸœ anyway, hope he gets through this ASAP cuz we all love bary manilow πŸ’–

πŸ€” so barry manilow's got lung cancer but he's not worried 'cause he's gonna watch i love lucy reruns and drink chicken soup? πŸ˜‚ sounds like the ultimate recovery plan to me... also why did his doctors say it didn't spread if they're fairly certain? πŸ“Š is there some medical breakthrough we don't know about? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

omg 🀯, I'm so sorry to hear that Barry Manilow had to postpone his residency shows in Vegas due to lung cancer surgery πŸ’”! He's such an iconic legend and his music brings back so many memories for me 🎢. It's amazing how he's taking a proactive approach to his recovery with the "chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns" plan πŸ˜‚, but seriously, you can't blame him for wanting to prioritize his health after being diagnosed πŸ’•.

I'm a bit sad that fans won't get to see him perform live for a while, but at least he's giving them a chance to rest and recover too πŸ€—. And wow, just thinking about all those fellow musicians who've gone through similar struggles is really inspiring - Billy Joel, Elton John, Rod Stewart... they're all legends in their own right πŸ’ͺ! Can't wait to see what the future holds for Barry Manilow (and his music) πŸŽ‰

πŸ€•πŸ˜” man, it's crazy how fast we get older, you know? 82 and still rocking out, but now he gotta put his residency on hold 'cause of some lung cancer 🀒. I feel bad for the fans who were really looking forward to seeing him perform live, but at least he's being proactive about it and getting checked out.

I'm glad he's doing okay after the surgery though, just gotta be careful with that health πŸ™. And honestly, a recovery plan of "chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns" sounds like the perfect chill vibe to me πŸ˜‚. The thing is, we all know that decline starts creeping in sooner or later, so it's good he's acknowledging it and not sugarcoating anything.

Still sad about the residency getting postponed, but on the bright side, now he's got some time to prepare for that farewell tour 🎭. Guess you could say he's gonna go out with a bang...or at least a great show 🀩

omg u guys i'm literally so sad that barry manilow had to postpone his las vegas residency πŸ€•πŸŽ€ but i gotta respect the dude's decision to prioritize his health over performing - we've all been there with lung cancer being super scary and unpredictable πŸ’‰ anyway, i love how he's keeping it real about not needing chemo or radiation treatment just good ol' chicken soup and elvis's reruns πŸ—πŸ‘» what a legend he'll always be! i'm also kinda torn about the farewell tour - on one hand it's amazing that he's still got it, but on the other hand who wants to see him perform when they're like 82? either way, i'll def be buying tickets for his last show πŸŽŸοΈπŸ’–

omg i just remembered my cousin had lung cancer too 🀯 like what are the chances right? so sorry to hear that barry manilow has to deal with this now he seems like such a cool guy too - does anyone know how long chemo and radiation usually take? is it true he's not doing chemo tho? my aunt's friend's sister went through something similar and she was pretty stressed about it πŸ€•

🀞 hoping barry manilow recovers well from his lung cancer surgery! 82 years young and still going strong 🎸πŸ’ͺ but u gotta take care of ur health first 😊 it's amazing how he's taking the positives from his diagnosis and turning them into a funny recovery story πŸ²πŸ“Ί chicken soup & i love lucy reruns lol sounds like a plan to me! πŸ‘ can't wait to see him perform again, but priority is getting better πŸ‘

awww that's so sad to hear about Barry Manilow's health struggles πŸ€• but he's doing great after surgery and getting lots of rest so fingers crossed he makes a full recovery πŸ™ the chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns joke is pretty funny btw lol his farewell tour might be a bit bittersweet for fans but it's great that he's acknowledging the challenges of aging in the music industry...i mean who hasn't been there right? πŸ˜‚

awww he's going through so much right now but its awesome that hes getting so much love from his fans πŸ€—... lung cancer is no joke and I can imagine how scary it must be for him to go through this... but the chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns recovery plan is literally the best thing ever lol πŸ’‘... at least he's doing great now and the fact that doctors think the cancer didn't spread is a huge relief πŸ™... fans are being super understanding and supportive which is amazing... its not easy watching someone you love go through this but his dedication to performing is truly inspiring ❀️
