Bill Ackman Gave $10,000 to Jonathan Ross GoFundMe Created by User Linked to Nazi Salute Image

Billionaire Hedge Fund Manager Bill Ackman Donates $10,000 to GoFundMe for ICE Agent Who Killed Pregnant Mother of Three

A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and killed Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis last week, sparking rival GoFundMe campaigns. One campaign raised over $1.5 million for Good's family, while another, created by an account linked to a Nazi salute image, has pulled in nearly half a million dollars for ICE agent Jonathan Ross.

Among the donors to Ross's GoFundMe was billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman, who shared a post about the fundraiser on Saturday and donated $10,000. Ackman confirmed that he made the donation in a Sunday post on X, saying he wanted to also donate to the fundraiser for Good but it was closed by the time he went to give.

Ackman has been an outspoken critic of what he alleged was antisemitism on American university campuses, often aligning with ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt on the issue. Ackman supported the ADL's defense of a Nazi salute made by Elon Musk; ADL called it an "awkward gesture".

The Trump administration has defended Ross's killing of Good as justified, while Minnesota state leaders call for an investigation. Video obtained by The Intercept shows events that contradict the administration's accounts of that morning.

A Facebook page for Clyde Emmons, who created Ross's GoFundMe campaign, was using a white supremacist imagery profile picture at the time. Other online accounts linked to the GoFundMe and bearing the same name posted hate symbols and called Good "a stupod bitch who got what she deserved."

GoFundMe is investigating the campaign and has stated that it will remove any campaigns that violate its terms of service, which prohibits fundraisers for the legal defense of violent crimes.

that's wild... 10k from Ackman to support the cop who killed a pregnant woman with three kids but $1.5m goes to another campaign and no one's questioning it πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ meanwhile that other guy is literally promoting hate symbols and getting donations 🚫 gotta wonder what's really going on behind the scenes

I don’t usually comment but I think this whole thing is super messed up 🀯. Like, who donates to a GoFundMe for someone who killed an innocent woman? It's just so... wrong πŸ’”. And can we talk about how weird it is that the FBI is investigating one campaign and not the other? πŸ˜’ I mean, isn’t that kinda biased too? Anyway, I do think it’s kinda sad that Good’s family didn't get to raise as much money as they could've. But at the same time, $1.5 million is a lot of money πŸ’Έ. And Bill Ackman donating 10 grand might not seem like a lot to some people, but it's still something πŸ€‘. I just wish GoFundMe would be more strict about their rules and not let hate groups use them as a platform for... whatever they’re doing πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

come on people 🀯 ... $500k to a dude who killed a pregnant mom of 3? that's just wild πŸ’₯ and what's up with Bill Ackman donating $10k to this "good guy" ICE agent? seems like some ppl are more concerned about their buddy's paycheck than justice for Renee Nicole Good πŸ˜’... and don't even get me started on the rival fundraisers πŸ€ͺ, one of which is basically a hate group 🚫, but we're supposed to just ignore that and donate instead? no thanks πŸ‘Ž

OMG, can't believe Bill Ackman donated to this GoFundMe for the ICE agent who killed a pregnant mom 🀯😱. Like, what's next? Donating to a fundraiser for the cop who shot and killed George Floyd? πŸš”πŸ’” This is all so messed up. Ackman was super vocal about taking down antisemitism on campuses but now he's funding someone who murdered an innocent woman? πŸ™„ That's some kinda hypocrisy if you ask me πŸ˜’

Ugh, this is wild 🀯... Bill Ackman donates $10k to GoFundMe for the ICE agent who killed a pregnant mom of three and I'm just trying to process why someone would do that πŸ’Έ... like, what's next? Donating to a fundraiser for the family of a white supremacist? It feels like we're living in some alternate universe where people are literally buying their way into a twisted sense of morality πŸ€”. And can we talk about how messed up it is that there's even a GoFundMe campaign for someone who killed an innocent woman in the first place? 🚫

This is so messed up πŸ€•. I mean, come on! A pregnant mom of three gets shot by an ICE agent and suddenly we're supposed to be like, "Oh, let's raise some cash for the good guy who did this" 😑? No way! There are two sides to every story here, and it sounds like the administration is covering up what really happened. And those GoFundMe campaigns... one raises a million bucks for the agent, while another collects half a mil from people who think Good was asking for it πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ? It's just wrong. I wish Bill Ackman had donated to the other campaign instead πŸ€‘. At least he's donating, though πŸ‘.

OMG 🀯 this whole thing is wild! Like, $1.5 million for one person's family? That's insane πŸ’Έ meanwhile some account with a Nazi salute image is getting half a million dollars... it's like GoFundMe needs to step up their moderation game 🚫 ASAP! Bill Ackman donating $10k tho, that's some good karma ⚑️ I'm all for supporting the family of Renee Nicole Good, and I wish there was more info on what really went down that day. And can we pls get a clear account from ICE? This whole thing just feels so... complicated 🀯

πŸ€” "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." πŸ˜• It's a sad day when we see people using platforms like GoFundMe to raise funds for someone who has committed such a heinous act. The fact that a $1.5 million fundraiser was created in support of Renee Nicole Good, while another campaign, linked to hate symbols, raised nearly half a million dollars, is absolutely appalling πŸ’”.

πŸ˜• I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one... Bill Ackman, a billionaire with a history of speaking out against hate groups, donates $10k to a GoFundMe for an ICE agent who killed a pregnant mom of three 🀯. Meanwhile, there's another campaign that raised almost half a million dollars, created by someone with white supremacist imagery 🚫. It's mind-blowing to think that the same platform is hosting these two fundraisers. Ackman's actions seem to be more about optics than actual ideology change πŸ™„. Still, $10k might make a difference for Jonathan Ross and his family... πŸ‘€

omg this is so messed up 🀯 i cant even believe someone would create a gofundme to help an ice agent who killed a pregnant woman in cold blood πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ it's like they're celebrating hate and violence πŸ’” meanwhile, there was a rival campaign that raised over $1.5 million for the family of the victim, it's just so wrong that this guy is getting almost half a million dollars from people who dont even know her πŸ€‘ what kind of world are we living in where someone can get donations for committing such a heinous crime? 😩

omg this is wild 🀯 I dont think Ackman should've donated to that one tho... like what even is going on with these ICE agents? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ they're supposed to be law enforcers not vigilantes! and btw 10k is like a drop in the bucket for all that Good's family is gonna need. I'm so glad GoFundMe is looking into this tho, those hate symbols and white supremacist imagery are straight up disgusting 🚫

πŸ€” This whole thing just broke my heart, you know? It's like we're still dealing with all this hate and division in our country. 🌎 I mean, what's going on here is not just about a woman who was killed by an ICE agent, it's also about the people who are trying to justify or even celebrate that act of violence πŸ’€. And then there are the billionaires like Bill Ackman who are donating money to the wrong cause πŸ€‘. It's like he didn't think through the consequences of his actions or what it would really help. The thing is, I don't think that $10,000 is going to bring back Renee Nicole Good or fix the harm that's been done πŸ’”. But maybe it can be a starting point for some people to reflect on their own values and actions πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. We need to ask ourselves if we're doing enough to stand up against violence and hate, not just when it's convenient or popular πŸ’¬.
