Billy Bass Nelson, Parliament-Funkadelic Bassist, Dead at 75

RIP Billy Bass 🎸😢 75 wasn't old for a funk legend. I'm so sad he's gone but his music lives on 🙏 George Clinton is gonna miss him big time, they were like two peas in a pod. Billy's bass playing was iconic and still influences artists today. He also had a wild side on stage, who can forget that diaper and combat boots combo? 😂 I remember listening to Funkadelic albums as a kid and thinking "who's this cool dude on bass?" Now we know it's the legend himself, William Nelson Jr. Rest in peace, Billy Bass 🎶
 
just sad to hear about billy bass nelson 🎸... 75 is old age for a music legend imo... i mean he lived an awesome life touring and playing w/ legends like eddie hazel, temptations, commodores & others... his playing style was iconic too - blended motown & rock vibes perfectly. wish he coulda stuck around to see more p-funk live shows tho 🤯 & what's up w/ the lack of info on his passing? george clinton kept it real lowkey...
 
.. just heard about Billy Bass Nelson passing away at 75 🤕 my heart is breakin'... I mean, this guy was a true funk legend and one of the most underrated bassists of all time. I'm talkin' 'bout someone who helped shape the sound of Parliament-Funkadelic, you know? The dude's playing style was like nothin' anyone had ever heard before - it was like Motown on steroids! 😂

I remember listenin' to "All Your Goodies Are Gone" and just bein' blown away by his bass lines. And let's not forget about those wild costumes he used to wear on stage... I mean, who else could rock a diaper and combat boots? 🤣 The guy was a true original.

But what really gets me is how underappreciated he was for so long. I mean, George Clinton himself said that Nelson's playing was like "the Motown flavor with the aggressive rock attitude"... shouldn't that be enough to get him some recognition?! 🤔

Anyway, I'm just gonna take a moment to appreciate Billy Bass Nelson's incredible legacy and the impact he had on music. He may be gone, but his funk will live on forever 💥
 
OMG u guys cant believe billy bass nelson is gone 🤯 75 yrs old but still bringin the funk to the party 🎉 idk if ppl remember him but he played a huge part in parliament funkadelic and his music still holds up today 💥 i mean, who else can rock a diaper & combat boots on stage lol 👖👞 anyway, im not tryna be all sad about it... billy bass was def one of the greatest bassists of all time 🎸 2 days ago he left us but his music will live on 🔊
