.. just heard about Billy Bass Nelson passing away at 75

my heart is breakin'... I mean, this guy was a true funk legend and one of the most underrated bassists of all time. I'm talkin' 'bout someone who helped shape the sound of Parliament-Funkadelic, you know? The dude's playing style was like nothin' anyone had ever heard before - it was like Motown on steroids!
I remember listenin' to "All Your Goodies Are Gone" and just bein' blown away by his bass lines. And let's not forget about those wild costumes he used to wear on stage... I mean, who else could rock a diaper and combat boots?

The guy was a true original.
But what really gets me is how underappreciated he was for so long. I mean, George Clinton himself said that Nelson's playing was like "the Motown flavor with the aggressive rock attitude"... shouldn't that be enough to get him some recognition?!
Anyway, I'm just gonna take a moment to appreciate Billy Bass Nelson's incredible legacy and the impact he had on music. He may be gone, but his funk will live on forever
