Blind date: 'I was sweating quite a lot for the first five minutes'

A British man's first impression of his blind date with an Australian was that she was 'very smiley and chatty'. The two quickly discovered they had much in common, including their love of tiramisu. However, the evening didn't start off well as he admitted to being 'sweating quite a lot for the first five minutes'.

Despite the initial nervousness, Daniel found Isla easy to talk to and enjoy her company. They shared several laughs over their jobs, differences in British and Australian humour, and even managed to cook a hotpot together, despite forgetting table manners.

Isla, on the other hand, was struck by Daniel's 'lovely eyes' and warm nature from the moment she sat down. The two quickly discovered they had a lot of common interests, including cult comedy shows, lido swimming, and side gigs (Daniel runs pub quizzes, while Isla DJs).

Interestingly, neither of them found any awkward moments during their evening together. However, they did agree that table manners don't apply when eating hotpot – aprons are provided for a reason!

In the end, Daniel described Isla as 'friendly, humble, hardworking', while Isla thought he was 'friendly, humble, hardworking' too. Both would definitely introduce each other to their friends.

The evening ended on a high note, with both Daniel and Isla agreeing they had a very pleasant time together – though not quite as pleasant if they hadn't been meeting on a Monday when they were both tired from busy weekends!

Monday nights are always a snooze fest πŸ™„. Can you imagine having to go out after a weekend of binge-watching Netflix and getting zero sleep? I'm surprised they didn't have a meltdown or get hangry πŸ˜’. I mean, who forgets table manners when eating hotpot?! Just great, now Daniel's gotta give Isla his number...and she'll probably be the one texting him all night with awkward questions πŸ€”.

πŸ˜‚ this blind date is like a rom-com in real life - who needs fancy restaurants or candlelit dinners when you can cook hotpot and laugh about it? I'm low-key impressed that Daniel's nervousness didn't ruin the night, he sounds like a chill dude πŸ‘. And omg Isla knows what she wants, no aprons necessary when eating hotpot lol πŸ˜‚. It's all good that they agreed on "friendly, humble, hardworking" because let's be real, those are just nice to have traits πŸ’β€β™€οΈ.

im loving this blind date story 🀣 they just clicked so hard, despite the awkward sweating moment at first. its great to hear that they have common interests and shared laughs over funny stuff like cult comedy shows & pub quizzes. table manners are definitely not necessary when eating hotpot lol... aprons are a must! monday evening can be tough, but it's awesome that they were both honest about being tired from busy weekends. might just give me some hope for my own dating life πŸ’•

🀣 gotta love how these two just vibed so well on their blind date 🌟. I mean, who doesn't love tiramisu?! πŸ˜‹ and cooking hotpot together? that's some quality bonding time right there πŸ’•. And omg, can you even imagine a more awkward situation than trying to eat hotpot without aprons? πŸ˜‚ table manners are definitely optional when it comes to delicious noodle soup! 🍜. anyway, I'm so glad they had such a great time together and got each other's numbers πŸ’¬. maybe they can even start a cooking club or something? that would be awesome! πŸ€—

omg can u believe how much common interests they had lol πŸ˜‚πŸ‘« Daniel runs pub quizzes? I need to know more about that btw πŸ€”πŸŽ‰ and I love that aprons are provided for hotpot it's like the universe is saying "hey guys, we got this" πŸ˜‚πŸœ

🀩 So I'm thinkin' what's the secret to a successful blind date? Like, it's all about vibin' with each other, right? 😊 These two, Daniel and Isla, they just clicked on so many levels - shared interests, same sense of humor... and let's not forget the food! Who knew tiramisu could be the icebreaker that brings people together? πŸ°πŸ‘« It's all about finding those common ground and just being chill with each other. And yeah, maybe a little help from some aprons when eating hotpot isn't a bad thing πŸ˜‚. Anyways, it's always great to see folks find that special someone and have a blast doin' it πŸŽ‰.

πŸ˜‚πŸ‘€ just saw an article about this british guy who went on blind date with aussie girl and they actually hit it off lol aprons for hotpot are everything πŸ˜‚πŸ’–

I think what's really cool here is how these two people just clicked 🀩. I mean, it's one thing to find someone who shares your interests and sense of humor, but Daniel and Isla seemed to have that on all levels. Plus, they're just so down-to-earth about everything - like, no pressure at all 😊. And can we talk about how awesome it is when you can bond over something as silly as a shared love of tiramisu? 🍰 It's like the universe was smiling down on them. The way they forgot table manners while cooking hotpot together just shows that they're both relaxed and willing to have fun, which is super attractive πŸ’•.

😊 I gotta say, this blind date story is pretty cute. You know what's interesting? The fact that table manners kinda fell by the wayside when it came to hotpot 🍜... like, who needs them when aprons are provided, right? But seriously, Daniel and Isla seem like a match made in heaven – they've got all these common interests and they just clicked. I love how they laughed together over their job differences and silly comedy shows 🀣. And can we talk about those lovely eyes Daniel has? 😍 It's great to hear that they both felt comfortable around each other and had no awkward moments... fingers crossed for them! πŸ‘

Ugh πŸ™„, another dating app success story πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. I mean, who needs fancy features like AI-powered match-making or in-app video calls when you can just meet up and wing it? And don't even get me started on the lack of conversation topics... "we had a lot in common" is not exactly a detailed review πŸ˜’. And what's with the shared interests in cult comedy shows and lido swimming? How does that even happen? πŸ€” Not to mention, table manners are just basic human decency πŸ™„. Maybe if they'd met up during a more relaxed time of the week, like Tuesday or Wednesday, their date wouldn't have been so... monotonous 😴.

Monday night blind dates can be rough 🀣. But honestly, it's great to see people find common ground and have a good laugh together. Daniel & Isla seem like a match made in heaven 😊. Who knew tiramisu could bring two strangers together? πŸ°πŸ’•
