omg 57 detainer requests from ICE and not a single one got transferred 
like what's going on here? city officials are all about being strict with sanctuary policies but still getting slammed with a ton of requests that basically do nothing 
and then you gotta wonder if it's just a numbers game for ICE or they're actually trying to create some drama 
meanwhile our fearless mayor Michelle Wu and the BPD commissioner Michael Cox are all like "hey we got this" 
and honestly i think their approach is pretty solid

shouldn't Boston be focusing on supporting its residents rather than playing along with ICE's deportation efforts? 
also, isn't it concerning that ICE is still pushing for detainers despite the lack of success? seems like they're just trying to exert pressure on cities that don't want to cooperate. 
ICE IS PUSHING THEIR LINES AND EXPECTING POLICE DEPT TO JUST HOLD PEOPLE WITHOUT CAUSE!!! IT'S LIKE THEY THINK THE BOSTON TRUST ACT DOESN'T EXIST! 
BUT SERIOUSLY, 57 DETAINER REQUESTS? THAT'S JUST CRAZY TALK!!! WHY DIDN'T ANYONE GET TRANSFERRED TO ICE CUSTODY?! IS IT BECAUSE OF THOSE SANE POLICIES IN PLACE?! 
I FEEL LIKE THE FEDS ARE TRYING TO TAKE OVER OUR CITY AND DISRESPECT OUR SANCTUARY POLICIES!!!
