... i feel like just yesterday we were all jamming out to "kryptonite" on our college road trips. people say he was a talented songwriter but honestly, it's overrated - songs like "when I'm gone" are super cheesy 
and i never get why they're still so popular. 3 doors down had some great albums but let's be real, they were also super formulaic... always sticking to that same old rock vibe. anyways, brad will be missed by the music industry but not so much for me personally
