I think it's pretty cool that she's 78 years old and still going strong, ya know? Like, she's defying age and being all rebellious like she always has. Her memoir sounds like a wild ride, literally! I mean, who wouldn't want to read about someone who's been through so much and come out the other side with this amazing story to tell?
omg i just finished reading bread of angels and i'm blown away pattsi smith is a total legend her writing style is like nothing i've ever read before its like she's speaking directly to your soul i love how she weaves together her childhood struggles with her punk rock days and art scene experiences it feels so raw and honest. i also appreciate how she doesn't shy away from sharing her personal demons and struggles โ it makes the whole book feel more relatable and human one thing that struck me was how much she's been ahead of her time, esp in terms of feminism and LGBTQ+ issues. anyway, if you haven't read this book yet, get on it ASAP! trust me, its a wild ride
I just finished reading "Bread of Angels" by Patti Smith and I'm still reeling from the experience . I love how she weaves together her life story with so much depth and emotion, it's like getting to know a close friend all over again . Her writing style is indeed unconventional, but in a good way - it's like being let into her innermost thoughts . What I admire most about Patti Smith is how she's never afraid to be vulnerable and share her true self, flaws and all . It's inspiring to see someone who's been through so much and still manages to create something beautiful out of their experiences .
Man I'm so down for this memoir, its like Patti Smith is reading you like that ! She's got some crazy stories to tell, from being a sickly kid to finding solace in music and writing... it's like she's speaking directly to your soul. And can we talk about how relatable her rebel spirit is? I mean, who hasn't felt like an outsider at some point?
But what really gets me is how honest she is about her struggles, from giving up a child for adoption to dealing with the loss of her partner... it's like she's not holding back any punches. And yet, her writing style is still so poetic and evocative, it's like you're right there with her on this wild ride through punk, love, and art.
I'm also loving how she celebrates her creativity and individuality, saying "she sang herself into being"... that's just the most iconic thing ever! It's a true testament to the power of writing and self-expression, and I'm so grateful for Patti Smith sharing her story with us.
