Breeze Airways adds service out of Atlantic City International Airport

Breeze Airways Set to Shake Up Atlantic City Air Travel with New Year-Round Flights

In a bid to capitalize on growing demand for affordable air travel in the region, low-cost carrier Breeze Airways has announced plans to launch three new routes from Atlantic City International Airport this year. The Utah-based airline will be the third carrier to offer year-round flights from the airport, joining Spirit Airlines and Allegiant Air.

As of May 6, Breeze will debut nonstop service twice a week to Charleston, South Carolina, while Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina will become its second new destination on June 11. For travelers looking for an even more convenient option, the airline's BreezeThru service – which features one stop but no changeover – will also launch on June 11, connecting Tampa, Florida.

The news is set to bring some much-needed competition and increased accessibility to Atlantic City International Airport, which has seen its passenger numbers rise in recent years. "The new routes give travelers from the southern New Jersey/Philadelphia region a more convenient access to two popular and growing destinations," said Stephen F. Dougherty, executive director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority.

The addition of Breeze Airways is expected to further boost the airport's profile as a gateway for both business and leisure travelers. With its low introductory fares starting at $49 one way to Charleston and $39 to Raleigh-Durham, Breeze is poised to make air travel more affordable for locals and visitors alike.

Breeze Airways has been on a meteoric rise since its launch in 2021, expanding its route network to over 80 airports across North America. Its founder and CEO, David Neeleman, boasts an impressive track record having founded JetBlue Airways and Canada's WestJet, setting the stage for Breeze's ambitious expansion plans.

With Spirit Airlines still offering a range of daily flights from Atlantic City – including routes to Florida destinations like Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Orlando, and Miami – the addition of Allegiant Air's scheduled services later this year promises to further enrich the airport's air travel options. For passengers looking for an alternative to traditional carriers, Breeze Airways is set to become a major player in the region's aviation landscape.

man... thinkin' about atlantic city and its airports makes me wonder about the concept of convenience vs affordability 🤯. we're livin' in a time where everyone wants instant gratification, but are we really gettin' what we pay for? Breeze Airways is tryin' to shake things up with low fares, but at what cost? are we sacrificein' quality or comfort just to save a buck?

and then there's the whole issue of accessibility 🚗. atlantic city international airport might not be the busiest in the world, but it's startin' to make some noise. it's like, can a smaller airport really compete with the big boys? is this just a matter of who can provide the best service, or is there somethin' more at play?

i don't know about you guys, but i'm kinda excited to see how this all plays out 🎉. maybe Breeze Airways will be able to bring some much-needed innovation to the table. but for now, i'll just be over here thinkin' about the implications of low-cost air travel and whether we're truly gettin' what we deserve 😊.
