Wow . Just saw the latest news and I gotta say, that's some crazy stuff! I mean, who gets kicked out of a bike parking pod deal? Apparently it was long-time advocate Shabazz Stuart. That's like getting the keys to the city taken away from you overnight.
Interesting how politics can get in the way of progress, right? It's like they're taking away something that's supposed to make life easier for people. I mean, bike parking pods are a no-brainer - it's just good common sense. Who wouldn't want a safe place to lock up their bike?
I feel bad for Shabazz Stuart, though. He must've been really passionate about this project and it's disappointing that his efforts didn't pay off. Maybe he'll find another way to make a difference in the city? Fingers crossed!
omg can you believe it? the city is literally just giving up on brooklyn bike parking pods now that shabazz stuart isn't around to fight for them anymore . i mean, what even is the point of having a plan if there's no one passionate enough to push through with it?
anywayz, it's not like it was a super popular or needed thing or anything... i guess we can all just go back to fighting for our right to park our bikes in a decent spot without having to worry about some pod that might get stolen or messed with . and btw, what even is the criteria for who gets to be the long-time advocate anymore? was it just because shabazz got old and retired from being passionate?
i guess this is a classic case of "when you can't win, lose"... or in this case, when you can't get funding for your bike pod project, give up on it altogether . can we all just go back to the good ol' days of parking our bikes wherever and hoping no one steals them?
just heard the tea and it's a bummer - they're kicking out Shabazz Stuart from that bike parking pod deal in Brooklyn... like, what even is the point of having an advocate if you ain't gonna keep 'em on board? i mean, this dude has been pushing for sustainable infrastructure in NYC for years and now it's all getting yanked away from him. gotta wonder what kinda politics went down behind the scenes... probably some big corp trying to make a buck off city funds again anyone else see this coming? it's like they're just gonna leave these communities high and dry when it comes to green initiatives... sad, man
just saw this one , city in brooklyn is basically saying no to a guy who's been fightin for bike parking pods for years... like what even is the point of that? anyway, its not like shabazz stuart was just some random dude who showed up out of nowhere, he's been doin this work for ages and it's pretty cool that ppl are startin to take notice . dont really know the details but gotta feel for the guy, all that effort and nothin in return... maybe they'll come around eventually tho? anyway, bike parking pods are def a thing now, can't believe its taken so long .
I'm really disappointed in the decision by the city to drop the bike parking pod deal with Shabazz Stuart. I mean, he's been working so hard for years to get more cycling infrastructure in Brooklyn and this is how they repay him? It just doesn't make sense.
Look, we all know that cycling is a great way to get around the city, it's good for your health, reduces congestion on the roads... it's just a no-brainer. And Shabazz has been a big proponent of this, he's been advocating for bike lanes and parking facilities in Brooklyn for years. I think he deserves better than this.
I mean, can't they see that investing in cycling infrastructure is going to benefit the whole community? It's not just about cyclists, it's about reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality... it's a win-win. So, I'm really hoping they'll reconsider their decision and give Shabazz another chance.
aww man, sad to hear that brooklyn is losin' its bike parking pods deal shabazz stuart seemed like a really cool dude who was passionate about makin' the city more bike friendly. it's always disheartenin when someone with a great vision gets shut down
i think what bothers me most is that bike infrastructure is so important for our environment and public health cities should be encouragin people to ride their bikes instead of drivin cars all the time. it's just common sense, ya know?
anywayz, i hope shabazz stuart can keep pushin forward with his other projects, 'cause he's def got a lot of good ideas we should be supportin him and his efforts instead of hatin on the city for makin' a tough decision
omg what's goin on ? so like they're gettin rid of this bike parking pod thingy in brooklyn cuz some dude shabazz stuart was pushin too hard i feel bad for him tho he must've been super passionate about it like, bike parking is such a big deal in cities nowadays dont they need more spots ? anyway idk what kinda deal went down but apparently it backfired on shabazz and now its gettin dropped i wish him luck tho maybe he'll just start his own bike parkin project thats actually not a bad idea lol. btw, have u guys ever tried bikin in nyc? its so much fun
just read that NYC dropped the bike parking pod deal on some dude named Shabazz Stuart... like what's good with that? he was pushing for better bike storage and now it's all gone. I think it's a shame, bike parking is super important for people to have safe spots to lock up their bikes after a long ride. and what's the point of having a deal if you're not gonna see it through? guess we'll just have to keep fighting for it... or something .
