California university denies students’ TPUSA chapter bid for a third time

Ugh, this is getting out of hand 🤯! Can't people just be themselves and express their views without being judged? I'm all for free speech, but I think universities should be more open-minded too 🤷‍♂️. What's wrong with having a conservative club on campus? It's not like they're planning to disrupt classes or something 😒. And btw, Professor Watchlist is just a list of professors who've criticized conservative groups - what's the big deal about that? 🙄 Point Loma Nazarene University is basically censoring students' right to free association... it's just not right, man 👎. More like, why can't they just let TPUSA have their space and not make a big deal out of it? I'm all for a respectful debate, but this is getting too intense 🤯!

idk how many times they gotta reject TPUSA's bid lol... think those profs have it bad 😂 they're literally gettin cancelled just cuz of one course 🤣 but at the same time i get where PLNU is comin from - dont wanna be that uni that becomes a hot mess on campus. can't say im surprised tho, some of these conservative groups have been makin headlines for all the wrong reasons 📰 and yeah, watchlist does sound like a red flag right off the bat 👎 but still, first amendment rights and all that jazz... gotta weigh it out i guess. what do u guys think? should colleges be able to kick out groups if they dont align with their values or is that just censorship in disguise 🤔

I'm literally so done with colleges trying to stifle free speech 🙄! I mean, what's next? Banning book clubs because some people might get offended by certain books? It's like they're trying to create these echo chambers where everyone thinks alike and doesn't have to think for themselves.

And honestly, if a group of students wants to start a chapter of TPUSA, who are we kidding? They're not going to be like, "Oh, let's just cancel each other out" 🤣. People are passionate about their beliefs, and that's what makes them human!

The university is basically saying that conservative views are too extreme for its students, which is just a bunch of nonsense 🙄. Can't they just let people debate and discuss without jumping to conclusions? It's like, hello, that's how we learn! 😩

I'm really surprised by this decision 🤔. I think it's interesting that Point Loma Nazarene University is citing Professor Watchlist as a reason for denying the TPUSA chapter, but isn't it kinda ironic that they're worried about "divisive ideologies" on campus when they have professors who are actively monitoring and suppressing conservative views? 😒 It feels like they're trying to create a bubble of their own ideology rather than fostering an open discussion.

At the same time, I can see where they're coming from. College campuses can be really intense environments, especially when it comes to sensitive topics. But isn't it our job as students and citizens to engage with differing opinions and learn from them? 🤷‍♀️ By denying TPUSA a chapter, are we just pushing conservative views underground rather than confronting them head-on?

Ultimately, I think this is a complex issue that requires more nuance and critical thinking. We need to have open and honest discussions about these issues, even if they're uncomfortable or challenging. 🌊

🤔 I'm literally livid about this! Like what's wrong with people expressing their views, you know? I mean, TPUSA is all about promoting conservative values and giving students a platform to voice their opinions... but noooo, Point Loma Nazarene University just can't handle it. 🙄 It's like they're being super PC and trying to create this perfect little bubble where everyone agrees with each other.

And come on, what's wrong with faith policies? If people want to be part of an organization that promotes conservative values, why should that be a problem? It's all about freedom of speech and expression... or at least, it used to be. 🤷‍♂️ I'm not saying TPUSA is perfect, but can't universities just let students have their say without getting all bent out of shape? 🤯

I'm getting so tired of universities playing politics with free speech 🤯. I mean, TPUSA isn't even about hate speech or extremism - it's just about promoting a certain set of conservative values. It's not like they're asking to bring in a bunch of neo-Nazis on campus 🚫. And honestly, if students are worried about being in a hostile environment because of some conservative group showing up, that just sounds like an excuse for the university to stifle free speech 🤷‍♀️.

It's like, universities are supposed to be hubs of intellectual diversity and debate, not echo chambers where everyone has to agree on everything 👀. And what about the students who actually want to engage with different viewpoints? They're being denied the chance to do so because of some arbitrary 'divisive ideologies' 🤔. It's just not right.
