A car careened out of control through the entrance of Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport on Friday evening, sending six people to the hospital with injuries and leaving a trail of debris in its wake.
According to officials, the driver was taken into custody after crashing into a ticket counter at the airport. The cause of the incident is still under investigation by airport police, who are working to determine what led up to the crash.
The scene was chaotic, with glass and other debris scattered across the ground and yellow tape cordoning off the area. Video footage posted online showed a car stopped in front of Delta Air Lines counters, its hood and trunk popped open as if it had been driven into something.
Six people were treated at the scene by paramedics from the Wayne County Airport Authority Fire Department, who were called to the scene after the crash. Thankfully, none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

I mean, can you imagine driving into a ticket counter? It's like something out of a movie! The thing is, safety should always be a top priority, especially in places like airports where people are already stressed and distracted.
