CEOs are tired of being held responsible for gun regulation | CNN Business

😕 It's pretty weird that after those big companies spoke up about gun control back in 2019, they're all suddenly mum now 🤔. I mean, if CEOs are gonna shout it from the rooftops, shouldn't other people be shouting too? 💬 The whole point of having influential voices like theirs is to create change, but if nobody else is joining the conversation, what's the point? 🤷‍♀️

its kinda weird that when its a mass school shooting they suddenly forget about gun control, like didnt they say it wasnt just about profits 🤑. and yeah i got the vibe too that theyre frustrated, but why should they be? theyre just trying to push their agenda without any real support from "the rest of civil society" 🤷‍♂️

omg u guys i was thinking the same thing about these corporations theyre always talkin bout social responsibility but when it comes to somethin real like gun control they just ghost 🤫🗣️ its like elon musk is all "oh my cars are selling well" but what about the lives lost cuz of senseless gun violence?! 🚗😩 we need more than just a bunch of influencers talkin bout it, were in desperate need of collective action 💪🏽👥

I'm getting really frustrated with the lack of action on gun control 🤕. I mean, big companies have been vocal about it in the past, but now they're just quiet 💭. It's like they're waiting for others to join them, which is okay, but we need more than that 🔥. We need a collective effort from civil society to push for change 🌎. Companies like Tesla are making money hand over fist, and yet, Elon Musk can talk about affordability without mentioning the value of human life 💸. It's time for CEOs to stop playing it safe and take a stand 💪. We need more than just empty words; we need action 📣.

🤔 I mean, come on guys! You're gonna keep quiet about gun control till other people start shouting too? It's kinda like when you're watching the game with friends and everyone's like "shut up, let me finish my beer" lol, but then nobody actually talks about it. CEOs are all like "hey we care about this, join us!" but where's the follow through? 🤷‍♂️ I'm not saying they should be the only ones doing this, but can't they just keep pushing for change till some others catch on? It seems kinda one-way to me 🚫
