Cloudflare defies Italy’s Piracy Shield, won’t block websites on 1.1.1.1 DNS

🚨💻 14.2 million euros? That's steep! Cloudflare is totally justified in fighting this fine 🙅‍♂️. I mean, they can't just sacrifice their users' internet speeds for the sake of some copyright holders 😒. The law's got some major flaws 🤔. What about all those legit sites that get blocked by accident? It's like, you've got to protect free speech online 🌐, not stifle it 💸. And what's up with this 30-minute blocking window? Like, really?! That's hardly enough time for ISPs to verify anything 🕰️. The CCIA is totally on point here 👏. Cloudflare needs to stand its ground and not let some shadowy media cabal dictate their internet policies 📰💣.

🤔 I feel like Cloudflare's situation here is a great example of how the pursuit of freedom of expression can sometimes lead to unintended consequences 🌐. They're fighting for their right to provide services without interference, but in doing so, they're also causing problems for legitimate users 🚫. It makes me wonder if there's a middle ground where we can balance our desire for online freedom with the need to protect intellectual property rights 💡. Maybe it's time for us to rethink how we approach issues like this and find more collaborative solutions that work for everyone 🤝.

I'm telling you, this whole thing with Cloudflare and Italy is just another example of how crazy things can get when governments try to regulate the internet 🤯. I mean, 14.2 million euros is a pretty steep fine, but at the end of the day, it's all about freedom of information online. What's next? Censoring our favorite streaming sites because some movie studio thinks they own the digital world? 🚫

I'm also super concerned about what this means for legitimate websites that get caught in the crossfire. If companies like Cloudflare start getting blocked left and right, it's gonna create a nightmare for anyone trying to host content online. It's all about balance, you know? The internet needs some rules, but these laws can be taken too far. 💻

And let's not forget Google is already dealing with this mess in Italy. I'm starting to think that the government is playing catch-up and trying to regulate something they don't fully understand 🤔. We need more transparency and discussion about what we're doing online, you know? The internet is a wild beast, but it's ours, so let's make sure we're treating it with respect 💕

IT'S GETTING CRAZY WITH THESE PIRACY SHIELD LAWS!!! 🚨💻 14.2 MILLION EUROS IS A LOT OF MONEY AND IT'S NOT LIKE CLOUDFLARE IS TRYING TO HELP PIRATES, THEY'RE JUST TRYING TO PROTECT THEIR OWN USERS WHO MIGHT BE INNOCENTLY VISITED BY PirATED WEBSITES. AGCOM IS SO QUICK TO JUMP ON BOARD WITH THESE FINES WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT THE IMPACT IT HAS ON REAL PEOPLE'S LIVES AND BUSINESSES TOO.
