CME Group Tour Championship: Jeeno Thitikul secures rare back-to-back titles at LPGA season finale

Thai golfer Jeeno Thitikul has secured a rare back-to-back title at the CME Group Tour Championship, which marks only the second time in LPGA history that she has achieved this feat. The 22-year-old from Thailand successfully defended her title, holding off compatriot Pajaree Anannarukarn by four shots.

Thitikul's dominant performance saw her fire a four-under-par 68 to finish on 26 under, securing the $4m (Β£3.1m) winner's prize, along with the LPGA player of the year award and Vare Trophy for season low-scoring average. Her victory marked a remarkable recovery from a wrist injury that forced her to miss last week's tournament in Dallas.

The win solidified Thitikul's position as world number one and made her only the second golfer to achieve back-to-back LPGA Tour Championship titles, following in the footsteps of South Korean golfers Ko Jin-young. When asked about her victory, Thitikul credited playing in the final tournament for giving her a boost of energy.

Thailand's Pajaree Anannarukarn came close to dethroning her countrywoman but ultimately fell short by four shots. English pair Lottie Woad and Charley Hull both finished on 11 under, however, neither could match Thitikul's impressive display of golf.

πŸ˜†πŸŒοΈβ€β™€οΈ Jeeno Thitikul is straight fire! Back-to-back title in the CME Group Tour Championship? 🀯 I mean, that's some crazy talent right there! 22 years old and already world number one? πŸ’β€β™€οΈ she's only getting started. That wrist injury could've been a game changer but girl's determination paid off! πŸ™Œ 26 under par is insane! And the Vare Trophy for season low-scoring average? Yaaas, Thitikul is on top of her game right now! πŸ‘‘ Let's keep an eye on this young Thai golfer, she's gonna be a superstar in no time! πŸ’«

I'm still in awe of Jeeno Thitikul's comeback 🀯! I mean, she was forced to miss last week's tournament due to that wrist injury and now she goes out and wins the championship again? It's like she's got some kind of magic πŸ’«. And can we talk about how dominant she was? Four under-par 68 is insane! I was on the edge of my seat watching this, wondering if anyone could catch up with her πŸ˜…. She deserves that LPGA player of the year award and Vare Trophy, no question. Thitikul's got the skills and the determination to stay at the top - bring it on for next season! πŸ†

I'm so proud of Jeeno πŸ™Œ! This young Thai golfer is truly talented and dedicated to her craft. Defending a title like that, especially after dealing with an injury, shows she's got some serious grit πŸ’ͺ. I've been following the LPGA Tour for years, and it's not often you see someone come back from a setback like that and still dominate the competition. Jeeno's energy boost from playing in the final tournament made all the difference, and it's clear her hard work is paying off πŸŽ‰. She's set to become an icon on the golfing scene, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for this rising star ⭐️

idk how much longer this back-to-back thing is gonna last for jeeno.. she's just a 22-yr-old and already she's achieving all these crazy things 🀯 i mean, we're glad for her and all, but it feels like lpga tour championship title count is getting out of hand. and another thing, what's with the prize money? $4m is insane πŸ’Έ gotta wonder how much more she can really afford to spend on golf gear and travel. also, is this just a marketing ploy to get more fans? back-to-back titles are cool and all, but does it really improve her game that much? πŸ€”

Thitikul is a total boss 🀩! I mean, two back-to-back wins like that is insane! She was literally crippled by an injury last week and still manages to come back swinging (pun intended). I'm so proud of her for not giving up and working hard to get back in the game. And can we talk about how dominant she was? 26 under par is just ridiculous 🀯. I love how she gave credit to playing in the final tournament for boosting her energy - that's all the motivation you need, right? 🌟 As for Pajaree, it was a great run by her, but Thitikul was on fire πŸ”₯. Can't wait to see what she does next! πŸ‘

😊 OMG, can you believe Jeeno Thitikul just won the CME Group Tour Championship for the second time in a row?! πŸ† I mean, she was down and out with that wrist injury, but look at her now! πŸ’ͺ She's back on top and proving everyone wrong. I love how she credits playing in the final tournament for getting that boost of energy - it just goes to show that sometimes all you need is a little confidence boost 🌟. And four shots ahead of Pajaree Anannarukarn? Not bad, girl! πŸ‘ Thitikul's on fire and I'm so stoked to see her keep crushing it on the golf course πŸ’₯.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this! Jeeno Thitikul is on FIRE πŸ”₯! I mean, come on, back-to-back title in the CME Group Tour Championship? That's insane! And what's even more incredible is that she had to deal with a wrist injury and still managed to pull off an amazing comeback. It just goes to show that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible πŸ’ͺ. And can we talk about her stats for a sec? 26 under par in one tournament? That's some serious golfing skills right there πŸŒοΈβ€β™€οΈ! I'm loving watching her rise to world number one - she's definitely got the potential to dominate this sport for years to come πŸ”.

Yaaas Jeeno is killin' the game right now 🀩! I mean, to come back from a wrist injury and still manage to defend her title like that? πŸ’ͺ That's what I call determination!
