Cristian Romero comments: 'Disgraceful' that Tottenham had '11 players available' against Man City, says Spurs captain

😐 gotta feel for cristian romero, he's been vocal about his frustration with the club's situation for a while now, and it's hard to blame him, 11 players out is just crazy 🤯, you can't seriously expect a team to perform at its best when you're missing half your squad. and yeah, james maddison's absence has been huge, that guy was a game-changer... meanwhile, the club's all like 'oh, we'll get better signings in the summer' 🤑, but what about now? how are they gonna turn this season around with so many injuries? 🤷‍♂️

I'm not buying into all this fuss about Cristian Romero being frustrated 🙄. I mean, 11 players down is a serious problem, no doubt about it, but you can't just expect everyone to be available when the chips are down. What's worrying me is that Spurs have been struggling for years and now they're blaming their injuries? It feels like a cover-up to me 🤔. And what's with all this talk about 'resilience' from Thomas Frank? Can't he take responsibility for getting his squad sorted out in the first place? The signings of Conor Gallagher and Souza might be good, but that doesn't change the fact that Spurs have been crying out for depth for ages 🤷‍♂️.

I think it's pretty harsh on the players though 🤔, having only 11 guys out there against City? I get where Cristian's coming from, we all wanna help our teammates out when they're struggling... but the reality is, teams are getting more competitive in the league and you can't just will your way to wins with a severely depleted squad.

It's also not like Spurs haven't been trying to strengthen their squad - they've made some decent signings recently 🤞, like Conor Gallagher and Souza. And yeah, it's tough losing key players like Maddison and Kulusevski... but the manager's optimism about summer signings being a game-changer is fair enough ⚠️.

The bigger question is, what does this team need to turn their season around? Is it just more top-notch talent or something deeper? The fans are clearly frustrated 💔, but I don't think Cristian's outburst will change anyone's mind...

I'm so sad for Spurs atm 🤕...they're in such a tough spot with all these injuries and whatnot 🤕. I mean, 11 players is pretty bare bones, you know? 😅 Cristian Romero's frustration is totally justified tho...he's been speaking truth to power about the state of the club for ages 👊. It's wild that he was willing to play through illness just to support his teammates 💪. They need to get some serious help in ASAP or else it's gonna be a long season 😬.
