Crystal Wilsey ID’d as Cinnabon employee fired after calling Somali customers the N-word in viral video

A 43-year-old mother from Oneida, Wisconsin has been identified as the Cinnabon employee who lost her job after a viral video surfaced of her using a racial slur against two Somali customers at Bay Park Square Mall in Green Bay. In the disturbing footage, Wilsey can be seen hurling racist insults and threats at the couple, including saying "I am racist" and pointing out that they should not be "disrespectful".

The dispute allegedly began when the woman asked Wilsey to add more caramel to her pecan cinnamon roll. The customers, who were reportedly a black Somali couple, claimed that Wilsey's behavior became increasingly aggressive and hostile before she eventually unleashed the racial tirade.

Cinnabon confirmed on Sunday that they had fired the employee without disclosing her identity. A GoFundMe page was set up shortly after the video surfaced to help cover the employee's living expenses and legal costs, and it quickly gained traction, raising over $20,000 in donations within two days.

Wilsey has yet to comment on the incident, despite requests from The Post. The incident highlights the ongoing issue of racism and hate speech in public spaces, as well as the need for businesses to take swift action against employees who engage in such behavior.

The Cinnabon employee's case serves as a reminder that words can have devastating consequences, particularly when they are directed at vulnerable individuals or groups. Her actions not only caused harm to the customers involved but also perpetuated a culture of racism and intolerance. As a result, it is essential for companies like Cinnabon to take steps to prevent such incidents in the future and provide support to employees who engage in discriminatory behavior.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many calling for greater accountability from businesses that fail to address racist behavior by their employees. The employee's identity may remain unknown, but her actions have left a lasting impact on the community, serving as a reminder of the importance of promoting respect, inclusivity, and empathy in all interactions.

OMG 😱 this is just wild, like I'm shocked that people still use racial slurs and think it's okay 🤯, but at the same time I'm not surprised because sadly racism is still super prevalent 💔, I mean Cinnabon should've known better than to hire someone with a history of using hate speech 🙄, but I guess they didn't want to discriminate against her or anything 🤷‍♀️, it's crazy how quickly the public can turn on someone who's just being racist though 💸 $20k is like, what even is that? 😂, I'm just glad those customers didn't report her to the cops or anything because then she'd be in serious trouble 🚔, anyway this whole thing just highlights how messed up our society is and how we need to do better at teaching people about empathy and respect 🤝

Wow 😱, it's just wild how one person can go from making a simple request to spewing hate speech like that 🤯. I mean, who expects someone to lose their job over something as ridiculous as asking for more caramel on a pastry? 🍰 The fact that Cinnabon took swift action and didn't even disclose her identity is a good sign that they're committed to making things right ⏰. Interesting how the community has come together to support the customers and raise awareness about this serious issue 🤝. We need more people speaking out against racism and hate speech, especially in public spaces like malls 😊.

OMG u guys think this is just about a girl losin her job over a stupid racist slip up? nah... i think its more complex than that 🤔. like think about it, cinnabon's profits are super high right now, so if they're already makin bank off those pecan cinnamon rolls, why would they wanna fire some1 who's still bringin in the dough? might be a bigger agenda at play here... or maybe its just a way to sweep the racism under the rug and pretend like everything is fine 🙄. either way, i'm keepin an eye on this one, it don't feel right 😒

man... this is like, so heartbreaking 🤕... a 43-year-old mom loses her job over a stupid video... it's not just about the job, though... it's about the community she's supposed to be part of... the trust that's broken... and the harm that's been done... to two people who were just trying to enjoy their food 🍞👀... it's like, we're all human beings, right? deserving of respect and kindness... but when someone like Wilsey speaks up with hate... it's like, a poison that spreads... to everyone around her... and now the whole community is left feeling uncomfortable and on edge 😬... what can we do, really? just try to be better, I guess... raise our kids right... teach them empathy and love... hope they'll grow up to be people who make the world a kinder place 🌎💖

🤔 this just blows my mind, like what kinda person uses a racial slur against someone else just 'cause they asked for caramel on their dessert? 🍞💸 it's not about the customer being "disrespectful" either, that's just a bunch of BS. and 20k in donations from random strangers in just two days? that's wild... but I'm still waiting to see if Wilsey is gonna get charged for this or what kinda consequences she'll face... 🤷‍♀️ gotta see where the investigation takes us 💪

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this video 🤯. It's crazy how one person can say something so hurtful and have it blow up like that online. The fact that she used a racial slur and made threats is just unacceptable 💔. I feel bad for the couple who had to deal with that at the mall - it's not right that they should have to experience that kind of racism in public.

Cinnabon did the right thing by firing her, but I wish they would've been more transparent about why she was let go 🤷‍♀️. The whole situation is a reminder that we need to be more mindful of our words and actions, especially when it comes to people who might be more vulnerable than us.

It's also interesting to see how the community has come together to support the couple and raise money for her living expenses 💕. I guess you could say that good can come from something bad in unexpected ways 🌈.

Ugh 🤯 I'm so done with this video 📹... like, can't we just be civil to each other already?! 😩 The fact that someone thought it was okay to take out their racism on those two customers is just... wow. And the Cinnabon employee's reaction? 🙄 "I am racist" - yeah no kidding, lady! You're not even trying to hide it.

I also don't get why we need a GoFundMe page for this girl 🤑... like, can't she just pay her own way or something? 😒 It's just so frustrating when people think that their problems are more important than everyone else's. And now the whole community is dealing with the aftermath of her racist behavior 💔.

I'm all about structure and format in my life 📊, but sometimes I feel like we need to shake things up a bit and promote some respect 💖. It's just so sad when words can hurt people that much... 😭

just saw this news and I'm like totally shook 🤯, can't believe someone would say that kinda thing to ppl who were just tryin to get their cinnabon fix lol. it's so sickening how she lost her job but the hate speech still went down on tape... what's even crazier is how ppl r supportin her now via gofundme 🤑, like we should be celebratin' her for showin us what not to do? anywayz, hope the couple gets some closure & that cinnabon steps up their diversity & inclusion game 👍 - https://www.newyorkpost.com/news/cinnabon-employee-who-used-racial-slur-fired-after-viral-video/

Ugh, I'm still shook about this Cinnabon girl 🤯... 43 years old and already lost it over some caramel for her cinnamon roll? And to think she was directing that anger at a black Somali couple... just no. It's not like they were even being rude or anything, just politely asking for more of that sweet, sweet caramel sauce 😒. The fact that Cinnabon didn't disclose her identity is kinda shady too... I guess you could say they're trying to "roll" with it 😉. Anyway, glad she lost her job and all the good karma is coming her way 💸. Maybe this will be a wake-up call for other businesses to take hate speech seriously 🤞.

OMG 😱 this is soooo sad! I mean who would've thought that someone could lose their job over something like this?! It's crazy how those words can hurt people so much 🤕. Cinnabon is totally right to let her go - it's not okay to use racial slurs and treat people with disrespect, no matter what's going on in the moment 😡. And I love that people are coming together to support Wilsey, but also to make sure she knows how hurtful her actions were 🤝. We gotta keep spreading kindness and respect wherever we go 💕

🤯 just when you think u can't make up for lost time after doing something disgusting like that 🙈 wilsey got more than 2 days to apologize or even acknowledge what she did but instead chose to remain silent... meanwhile the community is still trying to pick up the pieces from this hate crime 😔 it's like business just uses it as an excuse to sweep it under the rug & say "oops" 🙄 i mean what kind of company does that? one that doesn't stand for anything other than profits 🤑

I'm not surprised at all that this happened 🤦‍♀️. Like, what did she expect would happen when she started spewing out racist nonsense? It's not like Cinnabon was gonna let her just waltz back in and start selling those cinnamon rolls again with a smile on her face 😒. And can we talk about how quick they were to fire her? I mean, at least it's a start, but what if this kind of thing keeps happening and companies just sweep it under the rug? 🤔 The whole point is that words have consequences, right? Well, this girl found out the hard way... 💸

I'm really disturbed by this whole thing... 🤯 A 43-yr-old mom loses her job after making racist comments to Somali customers at Cinnabon. It's just not right, you know? The fact that she used a racial slur against them and called herself racist is just disgusting 😷. And the worst part is that she got fired without anyone knowing who she was until it went viral online 📊. I don't think that's right, we need to hold people accountable for their actions, especially when it comes to hate speech.

I also feel bad for the customers who were targeted by her racist comments. They're just trying to enjoy a meal and a nice treat, and then they get assaulted with hate speech 🤕. It's just not okay, we need to do better as a society.

Companies like Cinnabon need to take responsibility for their employees' actions and make sure that everyone is held to the same standards of respect and inclusivity 💯. We can't let people like this ruin it for others.

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s wild that someone would use a racial slur like that just because they didn’t get their caramel right 😲🤯. Like, come on, there are other ways to deal with customers who don't like the way their food is made. Can you imagine if someone did that to you and your family? It's crazy how hurtful words can be 💔. The fact that Cinnabon fired her without disclosing her identity shows they're taking a stand against hate speech, which is really cool 🙌. But at the same time, I feel bad for her - it sounds like she was struggling with some pretty deep issues and didn't know how to cope 👎. Either way, this incident is definitely making me think about how important it is to be kind to everyone we meet 💖.

Ugh, this is so depressing 🤕. I mean, who does that? Losing your job over something like this is no big deal, but for those two customers... they were just trying to get a decent snack 😒. It's not even about the Cinnabon itself, it's about how some people can be so hurtful and discriminatory 🤦‍♀️. And now everyone's all mad at Cinnabon for firing her without saying anything. I don't think they did the right thing by keeping her job in the first place... but maybe they should've handled it better too 🤔?

omg this is so disappointing!!! 🤕 i'm literally shook by what this woman did she was just being so racist and hurtful to those customers and now she's lost her job 🤷‍♀️ which is kinda good news but idk how much of a punishment it really was for her actions. i mean, the fact that cinnabon fired her on the spot without saying anything more about what happened is kinda a cop-out imo. they should've taken the opportunity to educate her on why what she did was wrong and help her learn from her mistakes 🤓 but idk, maybe it's better this way so people see how serious racism can be and not take it lightly 💯

OMG THIS IS SO DISGUSTING!!! 🤯 A 43 yr old mom just LOST HER JOB FOR BEING RACIST TO TWO SOMALI CUSTOMERS!!!! how can u be so heartless & cruel to ppl who are just tryin 2 get their order? 🍞👀 the fact that she was a Cinnabon employee makes it even worse cuz they r supposed 2 b all about customer service & makin ppl happy. but instead she went & made things WORSE by bein a racist jerk! 🤕 the fact that people are fundraisin for her is just crazy 2 me, I don't think she deserves it 😂

I'm so disappointed to see this kind of hate coming from someone who works with food 😔... I mean, it's just not cool. Anyone can have a bad day, but using a racial slur is never okay 💔. It's like, what's the caramel to do? 🤣... Seriously though, Cinnabon needs to own up to this and make sure their employees are trained on how to handle situations like this properly 🚨. And to the community, let's just take a deep breath and remember that everyone deserves respect, regardless of where they're from or what they look like 🙏... We can all be better than this, and we should strive for kindness and understanding 💖.

OMG, this is so messed up 🤯! I mean, I'm glad Cinnabon fired her ASAP, but like, what were they thinking letting someone with such extreme views work there in the first place? 😬 It's not just about one bad apple, it's a systemic issue that affects people of color and marginalized communities everywhere. We need to hold businesses accountable for creating safe spaces for everyone, regardless of their background or identity. 🤝 And on top of that, the fact that she was able to justify her racist behavior by saying "I am racist" is just mind-blowing 😲. It's like, no, you can't say that and still expect people to respect you! 💁‍♀️
