Deion Sanders was in ‘straight dad mode’ for Shedeur’s first NFL start

Deion Sanders finally got to watch his son Shedeur Sanders play without having him coach, allowing for a unique experience for both as they enjoyed Deion's first game without coaching duties.

Shedeur led the Browns to a 24-10 win over the Raiders in his NFL debut, showcasing his skills on the field with 209 yards and a touchdown pass. The rookie quarterback had some standout moments, including a 52-yard throw downfield that set up a touchdown run for Quinshon Judkins.

In an interview after the game, Deion expressed how much he loved watching Shedeur play without coaching duties, stating that it was his "straight dad mode" experience, free from coach mentality. The former NFL player and football coach seemed to be proud of his son's performance, acknowledging significant growth in both individual periods and Xs and Os.

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski praised the fifth-round draft pick, saying he sees a lot of potential for growth in Shedeur, both with individual work and team strategy. With this win, the Browns move forward as they prepare to face the 49ers in their next game.

Man, I'm telling ya, this is more than just Deion getting to watch his son play... 🤔 I think there's something fishy going on here. Like, what if coaching Deion for that one game was actually some kind of test to see how Shedeur does when he's not in a coach-like mindset? You know? What if they're trying to determine if he's really got the skills to be an NFL QB without his dad's influence? 🤷‍♂️ And then you look at Deion's response, "straight dad mode" - it sounds like some kinda prep work for when Shedeur is actually coaching, you feel me? 😏

omg i cant even right now 😂 Deion Sanders is literally beaming with pride and it's so cute! Shedeur played AMAZING and I'm talking 209 yards and a TD pass in his debut!! 🤯 that 52-yard throw downfield was insane 💥 Quinshon Judkins scoring the touchdown run after that is just icing on the cake 🍰. Deion saying it was his "straight dad mode" experience made me LOL 😂 and I'm not mad at him for being so proud of Shedeur's growth - he should be! 🙌 Kevin Stefanski praising him too is just a confirmation we all needed 💯 now can't wait to see what Shedeur does next 🤔

OMG u gotta see Deion's reaction after his son's game!!! 😍👦 He looked like a total proud papa! I mean, Shedeur did awesome, right? 🤩 209 yards and a TD pass isn't bad for a rookie QB. And that 52-yard throw downfield was insane! 😲 Deion said it was his "straight dad mode" experience, which is so cute 😊. He's clearly super proud of his son's growth as a player and person. I love how supportive he is 🙌. Kevin Stefanski seems like a cool coach too, saying Shedeur has tons of potential for growth. Fingers crossed the Browns keep winning! 💪

can you believe how proud Deion must be of his son Shedeur after that win? 😊 watching him play without coaching duties must've been a dream come true for Deion, and I love the term "straight dad mode" - it's so relatable! 🤣 it's amazing to see a father-son bond like this on display. 209 yards and a touchdown pass in his debut? impressive! 💥 does anyone know how many hours Shedeur must've spent working out with Deion leading up to that game? gotta be a lot, right? 🏋️‍♂️

This is awesome 🤩, I mean, it's great that Deion got to experience his son playing without coaching him for a change. It's like he said, "straight dad mode" - no agenda other than just enjoying the game with his son 😊. But you know what's really interesting? This whole 'father-son' dynamic in sports is kinda like our politics - everyone wants to be part of the team, but how much influence do they really want to have? 🤔 Like Deion said he was proud of Shedeur's performance, but did he also put pressure on him during those coaching days? Or does that even matter now that Deion's 'coaching' days are over? 🤷‍♂️ Meanwhile, Stefanski is all about potential growth - sounds like a bit of a "can-do" attitude to me. Does that remind anyone of our current presidential candidates? 😏

OMG, Deion's so proud of his son Shedeur! 😍 I feel like he's living his best life as a dad, getting to watch him crush it on the field without having to coach 🤯. It was super cool seeing Shedeur shine in his NFL debut, 209 yards and a touchdown pass? 🔥 that's some serious skills right there! And Deion's "straight dad mode" experience sounds like it was everything he needed 😊. Can't wait to see what the future holds for both of them 👀🏈

OMG, I'm so happy for Deion & his son Shedeur!!! 🤩😊 It's amazing how proud Deion was watching him play without coaching duties, it's like he got to see his son shine unfiltered 💫🏈! And omg that 52-yard throw downfield? 😲 Shedeur is def a QB to watch out for in the future 🎯💥! I love that Deion said it was his "straight dad mode" experience, that's so sweet 😊. Stefanski seems like he knows what he's doing too, can't wait to see how the Browns do against the 49ers next game 🤞🏈

.. Deion's gotta be so proud of his boy Shedeur! I mean, I was watching that game and he looked like a total pro out there 🤩💪. His dad said it was all about being able to just enjoy watching him play without trying to coach him in the background... you can totally see why, Deion's got that "cool dad" vibe going on 😎. And Shedeur played so well! That 52-yard throw downfield? Wowzers! I'm loving this Browns team, they're on fire 🔥. Kevin Stefanski's right though, Sheduer's got a ton of potential and it's gonna be fun to watch him grow 📈💨.

idk why deion's son shedeur is gettin all that hype already lol like he's been good in college too 😂 his stats were fire tho! but what's with all these expectations on him? can't he just enjoy the game without all that pressure? 🤔 i mean, dad mode is cool and all but it was still his coach for a reason, right? 😉

Just watched that game and I gotta say, I'm still skeptical about these new-fangled ways of playing football 🤔. I mean, a QB getting so much time on the field without even having his dad coach him? It's just too much for me... like they're putting all their faith in this kid Shedeur to make decisions under pressure 💡. And what's with all these fancy stats and analytics? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for Deion and all, but to me it just seems like a recipe for disaster 🚨. And the Browns' coach praising Shedeur without even giving him too much credit for his dad being there? Sounds like a lot of smoke and mirrors to me... 📊

I'm so glad Deion got to see his son Shedeur play without coaching him all game 🙌. It's like a whole different level of cool for Deion, just being able to relax and enjoy the game with no pressure from his dad as the coach 😎. And Shedeur totally crushed it out there! I mean 209 yards and a touchdown pass? That's impressive! 💪 The way he made that 52-yard throw downfield was sick 🤯. It's clear Deion is super proud of him, and who can blame him? His son is a total baller 😆. Now I'm curious to see how Shedeur will do against the 49ers next game... should be good! 👀

omg Deion Sanders is the best!!! 😍 I'm so happy that he got to watch his son Shedeur play without coaching him for once 🤩 it was a special moment for both of them, and I love how proud Deion was of Shedeur's performance 🎉! He totally rocked that game with 209 yards and a touchdown pass 💪🏈 the throw downfield to Quinshon Judkins was INSANE 🤯!!! 😆 I'm so hyped for the Browns next game, they're on fire 🔥💨
